Jello Biafra did an intro to Ice-T's album in the 1989 about this shit. Yet here we are.

What happened to all the freedom fries? Freedom! Freedom!

French Fries were not even invented in France. It was Belgium. Which is a bit silly when you think about the whole "freedom fries" thing was a stab at France.

Do you think we can make it til November? And do you we'll be able to fight for real voting power? If so...that's our only chance to begin restoration without civil war.

I think November will be rigged beyond belief, just like the 24 election was.

I think we hit the tipping point. SCOTUS coming out strong with substantive opinions and the house is essentially no longer GOP held.

Senate filibuster isn’t going anywhere bc that’s in risk at the midterms too … and Alito may step down (good luck to Trump getting a new judge before the midterms).

If america voted again today, Kamala would win by 8 points … people will start going to jail soon.

The coup is failing.

I think optimism is always worthwhile. IMHO, pessimism just takes any shot we have and curses it

Is it just me or this sounds just like 5000 other songs

Definitely Billie Eilish-esque.

Yeah, it does to me too. Music is certainly subjective, but there's not too much unique or amazing about this. Like, it's fine and palatable. Like plain, warm oatmeal.

I guess copying a style and changing the words is good now, idk

Welp. My wife said I get the opportunity of a lifetime to take out a fascist, she will not be upset with me. So I bought some new ammunition yesterday.

Saw on the news some guy got killed entering Mar-a-Lago with a weapon and gas can.

Wasn’t me. That sounds like a terrible plan.

“When peaceful protest is impossible, violent revolution is inevitable”. — someone way smarter than me

JFK, March 13, 1962, on the first anniversary of the Alliance for Progress.

Or sternly worded letters are inevitable, if it's Democrats doing the protesting.

I don't see us violently revolting yet. Have doubts we ever will collectively.

There are more demons then people in power, and there is more rot than structure in our system, it all needs to come down. The kind of revolution we need, people probably aren't ready for yet. It will mean chaos, it will mean a breakdown in order and our way of life, it will basically be like starting society from scratch again, but it's necessary for a better future.

We are going to burn this fucking thing down, one of the most dangerous things on this rock is a group of us humans with nothing to loose. They didn't reform labor because they cared about us, but because the bloodshed was threatening to tear the whole place down. They didn't do the ERA stuff because MLK got got, they did it because of the Holy Week Uprising. Problem with peaceful protest is that when they don't listen, they just get louder and a lot less peaceful.

That's the problem, though. We all still have so much to lose. We're still way too comfortable for any critical mass.

We gotta whole generation born into straight up wage slavery. The pantry I help went from bi-weekly, to weekly, to now just twice a month because the need has folks lined up around the corner and donations are drying up. And like 90% of my crews scene is all homeless outreach now. Once the foundation of physiological needs in enough people is rotten the whole fucking thing will fall down, that's how the social contract works, it's not on paper, its not signed, it just historically is.
