I love that Apple calls it the 'Markup' - A word that's actual definition is "charging more without adding any value".

"Well, since I was kind of a massive asshole in life.... keep up the good work".

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The "pencil" for a tablet is something that has been around for decades but some act like it's a new radical thing. Seems like a Jobs move.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Oh how I hate Apple for removing the headphone jack. Absolutely idiotic and pseudo-progressive.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Hope I am not bursting any bubbles, but Steve Jobs was a master at "dick moves". Visionary, not a saint.

8 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

I hate to admit this I really do but I got a pair of Bluetooth headphones and I'm NEVER going back. they're the future man

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Not for me. I find it ridiculous to spend that kind of money on what is basically throwaway hardware. Headphones can last DECADES otherwise.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Holy shit it's been 7 years? Not that I ever gave a fuck about that douchebag but man does time fly

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

same

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I use an after market adapter and cheap ear buds . Fuck that shit of expensive earphones

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

they made a pencil?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

its funny because its true

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

They've also introduced the iPad mini that Jobs said was dumb and they should never make (and is very popular)

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yeah it's so popular that it's going on 3 generations out of date, and still selling at full price. Talk about a scam.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Well, several generations out of date and still selling at full price is a lot of Apple products. The iPhone is the only thing they push on.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

For those wondering about the pencil: https://www.apple.com/apple-pencil/

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You know I am honestly suprised they are not charging more than 99USD for it

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

easy peachy - boycott the shit store

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I love how Jobs' opinion is spot on here. He'd probably hate the watch, but think removing the headphone jack was brilliant.

8 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 0

Apple's products are developed far in advance - he was prob. in on that one. They know what the sheep will be buying a decade from now.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

As an Apple user since 1996, I'm about to leave soon.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Good for you.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Right...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I can't believe people bought a phone with no headphone jack. The stupidity in this country

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It's been a few years since I've had a pair of headphones that even have a wire to plug in.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I broke two screens from headphone wires getting caught on things in my lab. Totally worth it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was like “how is Steve gonna find a way to not like the headphone jack thing?” :-)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

so tell me again why all the AI recreations of celebrities need holograms? I know about the hologram Tupac, but people act as if that 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

hologram was self aware and could write new songs. Is it because of the holodeck simulations in Star Trek? 2/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I like the cartoon Tim Cook.

8 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 0

He’s kinda hard to draw

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Good job then. :)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And good Jobs too :-)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don’t usually get complimented on the aesthetics here. So thanks lol.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Has it really been 7 years? Holy shit.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Apple watch is the best wearable technology available today.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

And Apple Pencil is the best graphical stylus available today

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

My butthole is the best availble pooping technology availible today, but it still kind of sucks to use. Best and bad,Not mutally exclusive.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Terrible analogy. Pooping is great. Do you own an Apple Watch or do you just have no idea what you’re talking about?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I think you know pooping could be way better. You are only deluding yourself into being satisfied with the current state of pooping.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Either way you don't have an asshole in the first place so keep your comments about the current state of pooping to yourself

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What pencil?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Their usage suggestions are so girly that I think my dick would fall of if I followed them.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

i got nothing for that one.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why is taking plant biology notes girly? Or are you talking about the bizarre fact that women have feminine writing?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The whole idea of using a pen and lots of colors to take notes when you could be typing them into a list.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

You actually absorb more information if you're physically writing. I would have killed for a solution like that in med school.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

pencil?

15 seconds for 30 minutes of charge or 10 minutes for 12 hours. Not exactly horrible? www.idownloadblog.com/2015/09/11/apple-pencil-charging

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

gotta say, that charge time does sound impressive.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

100$. For a pencil.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Your username tho. How smelly?

Ironic. Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple, creator of the Mac, died from a PC.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

that’s the vantablack type dark humor.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"Creator of the Mac?" Woz would like a word with you.

I had dinner with him, what a great guy.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

U right, my mistake. How about "the face of Mac"

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Mac is a product line. Jobs took over Apple when Woz was injured. Jobs left but came back after Apple bought NeXT.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Jobs was a good businessman, like Bill Gates. Neither were/are particularly great engineers.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The “stupid” watch it’s actually the most sold watch in the world...

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

And people are the most stupidest people in the world. check mate

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Smartwatch maybe, definitely not regular watch, and the watch sales are suffering horribly for Apple as well.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Since when are switch watches all watches?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Since the Swiss watch makers had the biggest market share and Apple outsold them it means they outsold everyone else....

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Cumulatively they are still on top but brand by brand apple outsold every single decent watch maker

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He was all about money/making racketeering schemes, he’d be proud of apple today...

8 years ago | Likes 749 Dislikes 19

Yeah but they're not doing the part where they make people feel like they're releasing an amazing new technology which isn't amazing or new.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

while also exploiting child labor to increase his profit margins.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

And also dick moves.

I read this as "Rocketeering schemes", that would be awesome...

So.... you mean he was an entrepreneur?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I read this as "Rocketeering schemes", that would be awesome...

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

That's Ol' Musky

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

As if Google isn’t just as bad or worse

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 9

Ummm yea? Sure? Seems a bit off topic but yep, lots of companies are only after that bottom line...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Google/Android at least sticks to industry standards (micro USB, USBC) and doesn't intentionally fuck older devices, forcing you to buy new.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

He'd be pissed about the forking product lines, though. He seemed to want to keep the number of products they sell as low as possible.

8 years ago | Likes 78 Dislikes 0

And avoid affordability at all costs

8 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 1

He would be right to be pissed IMO. That is the very reason I abandoned Apple after my Iphone 4s. Cbf to keep up with 5/5s/5c or any others.

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Yeah because that's the worst part

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I'm assuming sarcasm, so. Obviously it's not the worst part, it is just relevant to the comment without forcing an 'I hate Apple' Circlejerk

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Agreed. There's something to be said for simplicity of offerings. The "everything works together at all costs" philosophy died with Jobs.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What does cbf means ? Asking for a friend...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Aren't these products his invention tho? I'm fairly sure I read that he had products lined up for the next 10years after he passed.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

No, just the 5s & 6, which were in development before he died.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What *is* racketeering? Does anyone know? At all?

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 4

I once played with a band called Los Racketeeros - does that count?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Like mouseketeering, but with rackets.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

“You know how youse been having labor troubles at your job site? You make my cousin a senior executive and that could go away.”

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Using tennis rackets as jewelry.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Good one, Krusty.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes, I was using hyperbole not actually accusing him of setting up a false investment opportunity and absconding with the financing...

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Quite. I too was making a humorous quip about racketeering and the conundrum of it's application in criminal proceedings.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Indeed

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Verily

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And yet everyone keeps buying it , must be doing something right.

8 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 14

"everyone"

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

People protesting corporate tax evasion held a candlelight vigil for him when he died.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes: marketing and advertisement.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah. Propaganda

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Back when the iPhone 4 was out i never had a better working phone, smooth and my ring tones didnt freaking change themselves. But i like my

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Galaxy much better. I prefer the expandable memory and hopefully they dont do the same bs with chargers.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

To be fair though they had to replace the chargers eventually , hopefully everyone just switches to USB C cables soon.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They did change chargers, but USB-C appears to be the upcoming standard replacing micro.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

When? Also i dunno what that means but my old old charger for random stuff still fits my Galaxy S7 lol

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

To be fair, this is the first time since 2016 that Apple has passed Samsung in market share. Android is still slightly more popular.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Well, it took them long enough to catch up technologically, ironically while also using Samsung screens.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

But it won't last long, since Samsung still has other phones coming out.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

also all the other flagship phone makers, as well as budget flagships.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yep. I have a Note, I can't live w/o the big screen & stylus, hubby gets $100 phns and uses them for years.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

“and we gave done NOTHING to make iTunes easy to use!” v

Sent from my meizu note 6

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I switched to musicbee when itunes started crashing on my PC. It felt good to cut that last tie to Apple.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Let's make iTunes so you can only add ringtones directly to the phone from the computer and can only add apps on the phone! WCGW?

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

shit, that's practically the foundation of the company!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Itunes is one of the reasons I jumped ship to android.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

iTunes?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

And don’t forget how they destroyed the Music app by trying to force you to pay for Apple Music.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

IPhone troubleshooting step 1: the fuck you doing with an IPhone switch to android

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Found an old gift card from 2007 a while back. Never used iTunes before. Decided to sign up and redeem it. The process felt very 2007ish.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

At least yours worked, eBay user scammed be about 5 years ago when I fairly recently tried to redeem my ‘Black Friday deal’. Never again!!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"In fact due to planned obsolescence we've made it HARDER!"

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I used to think that Apple purposely made iTunes suck on Windows just to hurt that platform. Then I used iTunes on OS/X. No, it just sucks.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

I can start a particle acceleratoron my android, I can't gift a ringtone to my mother on Itunes.

8 years ago | Likes 84 Dislikes 3

Can you gift a ringtone to your mother on Google Music?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That sounds like an incredibly niche usage scenario.

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Yeah, I'm an Android fanboy as well, but this comparison doesn't make any sense.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

So sorry, autocarrot and voice recognition with hiccups. Was saying that I can do quite a lot on Android but Iphones makes it deliberately 1

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Difficult and frustrating because I want to *give* them my money and they wont let me...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"And let's not forget the Podcast app, fuck that and everyone who uses it!"

8 years ago | Likes 273 Dislikes 1

One word: Spreaker.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This 100%

8 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 2

I liked it before the last update course that was my only experience with it.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

This. I was struggling with the stupid that is the Podcast app. Life improved immensely when I switched to Pocket Casts.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I use Podcast Addict. It's free, super customizable, & generally pretty great. Few bugs got patched recently.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Sounds like an ad

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sure? I love advertising completely free products to other people without being paid. Check it out or don't. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah they made it really hard to keep up with my podcasts. I only use it driving and the stupid listen now thing doesn’t prioritize at all

8 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 1

If you listen to podcasts frequently, pay for a good app. I use Pocket Casts (on Android, though), and it is worth the money ten times over.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

So I get stuck listening to fucking shows that I finished months ago but stopped at the last minute over shows that came out today

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Is THAT why that fucking happens??? Fuck!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Is there even a way to play oldest to newest anymore. I swear I can’t find the settings.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Just use Spotify. Not ALL podcasts make it on there but I’ve never had an issue and the list is growing. You can sort by release as well

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I use Spotify when I'm on my PC but, I usually listen on my Ipod and I don't have premium. I make it work by just making a playlist.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If the settings exist, they’re winning hide and go seek championships year over year.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

It’s so frustrating listening to shit that’s already come out! I had to individually click through like 50 episodes of revolutions

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Then I got tired of it

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’ve been listening to a lot of LPOTL lately. I’ve taken to just adding them to play later in order one by one.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The only way to do that in iTunes is the put them into a playlist and sort that way. It's the only way without micromanaging.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That’s pretty much what I’ve been doing lately. I swear there was a setting before though.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There was but they decided to remove it. God knows why.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

iTunes is the lousiest piece of shit ever. So user unfriendly, normal tasks are a nightmare. Im talking just the phone part, not music store

8 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 1

I got a newsletter from an interesting source saying by 2020 the music store will be gone, replaced by their subscription crap.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't understand why it requires CONSTANT updates, and why the file size is so firkin huge

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Omg yes, almost once a week

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The phone part as in the music player on the phone? It used to be decent on OS X, but quickly took a nosedive recently, even worse on phone

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No, the phone part as in itunes for backuping your phone

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

and what kills me is it used to be ok. not great, but solidly ok.

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Ten years ago it was okay. Eight years ago, it was bad. Now it's just taking the piss.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I just want to browse my songs in order of the song name, not the artist.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So that's not just me... I don't use my iPod anymore partly because of that.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

ya, I hate firing up the laptop and plugging in the ipod, then hoping it recognizes there's a pod attached and will do its thing. :/

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just make sure to use it on a mac, on windows its even more shit (this never really changed)

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It’s bad even on Mac now.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but its just as bad on windows + extra stabillity problems

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0
