I've lived in Oregon my whole life. Finally went to Tamolitch/blue pool. There were way too many people but still worth it.

Most preferred summer destination for Ninjas, it seems.

Did you miss the falls? I know they were there recently from excess runoff from further upriver

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You should really drown all those people next time. Just kidding ;) Looks beautiful.

IF you like those colors, try Grand Prismatic Spring at Yellowstone—but don't swim in it!

Great photos! Been there once. Want to go back in the deep off season.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

There is no off season anymore. Even snowshoeing in is busy we though the sun doesnt hit it hardly In the winter.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

One of my favorite places in the world is one of the foot bridges on the way into there, where a stream flows into the river.

yeah there's a spot I go to on Maui that i *DON'T* talk about online, LOL

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Idk what the principal comment you were replying to was but usually I don't post the names of my hikes online. I don't want to share lol

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nobody goes there anymore. It's too popular.

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Agreed.

Thanks Yogi !

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Or a spiky rock.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Looks like kitchitykippy you'll know that if ur a michigander

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ya know how many hippies came in that pool...

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Where's the Mexican guy with a white tshirt on?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What causes that really un-nautral blue? If its anything like the Toxic Blue Lagoon in the UK I wouldn't swim in it...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know it sounds hypocritical, but I hate how people ruin natural spots when I go there.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Yep! This is why I try to hike super early in the morning. I like to beat all the tourists there.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

This is why I take vacation days during the school year in the middle of the week to check out spots like this, far less people

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That looks just like our lakes here in Australia but our lakes come with bonus crocodiles or snakes or eels or jellyfish or octopodes.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Wired! Almost went there this weekend! We were camping pretty close but due to bad directions, didn't make it there.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Weird* I hang my head in shame...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Haha sounds like something the youths would say. Yeah it was insane. I'll never go again in the summer. Won't sounds like the time to go!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fuuuck that's beautiful... My lakes have human feces floating in them from the sewage back up

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sounds like Lake Erie to me

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fellow Oregonian here!! Check out 3 pools and opal creek as well. I've actually swam here but no more than a couple seconds, it is COLD

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Opal creek is another one on my list!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

https://vimeo.com/22051512 Opal creek is sick :)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same here - I jumped in and immediately levitated myself back out. It's very nearly ice :)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's almost comical you post this and complain about the people. It's the masses posting on Facebook ect that have brought the crowds.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

So you complain about all the people but advertise a gem that's now littered with literal trash, people and candy wrappers?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I get that. I wasn't really trying to complain with that title. It's just, as an introvert who doesn't like noise the fact that there were..

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Has already heard of it.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Easily 300 hundred people there it kind of ruined the hike for me.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's too bad. Last time I was there was ~5 years ago and it was just my wife, my dog, and me. Might have been off season...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I also don't post the names of the hikes I go on usually because I don't want to share them. This one was different because everyone

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I wish it was filled with blue kool-aid.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And the fish were like Swedish gummy fish. That would be dope.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Please remind me why I am not yet living in Oregon?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not sure...you should fix that!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I really should :)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did u swim there?

8 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

P... put your dick in it

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No way! Too cold!

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

That must be so frustrating! It looks so inviting!

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

It's super freaking cold water. Maybe 45 degrees

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 3

Was it a nice hot day where you could enjoy a cold swim, or would u have frozen ur butt off.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This time of year it doesn't matter how how it is, that water is always cold. Like actually painfully cold lol.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Americans really have a weird sense of temperature... 45° is boiling fucking hot

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 4

100 degrees is boiling hot

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's 45° Freedom, or about 7° Commie.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's cold but not extreme. The coldest I've been in is - 4C

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Ahh yes, the good ol' swimmin in ice

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It's running water, so it doesn't freeze

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ahhhh, makes sense ;)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

it can legit get down to 37-38 degrees this time of year

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Is that near freezing?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Pretty close, freezing is 32 F°

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wow, look at all those ppl!

8 years ago | Likes 645 Dislikes 7

OP drowned them all

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

+1 for tagging neature!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah not even worth going .. Way too crowded

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 5

Fuck those people who want to see nature too. Don't they know it's all just for me?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

If I ever went back I'd get there before 8. Also I'd prolly go right at the end of the season.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

I'm used to hiking way out in the woods with a gps and No other people. At one point I got stuck in a group of 30 tourists. So unpleasant.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 4

It's so crowded nobody goes anymore

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Then how is it so crowded if no one goes there?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

To the left of these pictures there was a hoard of easily 50 people down at the access point to the pool.

Agreed. But I wasn't leaving a mess behind me, or shouting and screaming the entire time or smoking pot in front of kids.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes, but this is imgr so I had to be an asshat. Beautiful pics op.

8 years ago | Likes 95 Dislikes 5

Touché. And thanks!

8 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 3

At least it was not zombies.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

a hoard of people, so, like, a dragon had stashed a horde of people there somewhere?

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Having made this mistake myself, I now hate both words.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Unfortunately not that cool. :(

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

i went there in september and there were maybe 10 others while we were there

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sounds like I picked the wrong month!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

it's worth going back! apparently it's gorgeous in the winter too
