Theres a game company that knows whats up

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

I bought their game even though I am not a huge fan of the Witcher series. I am excited about CyberPunk tho

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I got so happy when I opened my copy and saw this, I ran to show my wife and ended up joy-ranting to her about how great CD Projekt Red is

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Well shit now I feel like a dick I played Witcher 3 through a friend's steam 'friends and family'. As soon as I got money, giving them some!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

and inside a EA gamebox is just paper with adds for DLC shit ill never pay for

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Was this written by Fabian Döhla?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you like Witcher 3vthen you should try Gwent.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Nah I never even bothered to play Gwent in the game, there so many side quests on top of main story for me to play, not to mention the DLCs

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Cool. Makes me wanna buy one of their games just cause they're awaome.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

*awsome

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Damn this didnt age well

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Only a game so awesome could produce such equally awesome ideals

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Annnnnd bought out by EA

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

says the studio that underpays their employees and give them no benefits over the millions they made

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 3

The first play through was one of my all time favorite gaming experiences.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

I'm not convinced this is a good thing. If they bundle it with a key, they all they've really done is reduce the used value. Anyone confirm?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

There was no key, this was just to thank for people buying the game, and stating they would be releasing 16 free DLC packs for everyone.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The key here is the number of DLCs. :P

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Yes. Also called Zero Day DLC. Makes for good PR though. Don't get me wrong, CDPR is a good gaming company, but not for this.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fuck it I'm buying Witcher 3 even through I have not touched my PS4 for months.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

PC version has it as well, Steam or GOG.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can buy the PC version...

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I actually disagree (ackshully) Patches to fix errors, yeah, of course, but new content? I you work, you like to get paid, don't you? ...

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

... If they release a new Halo or Call Of Duty, they charge too. Now, if you WANT to give free content afterwards, that is very nice, ...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This wasn't new content, just cosmetic stuff that was already done. The content DLC is not free.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ugh. No. Stop. I put up with enough CDPR circlejerking on Reddit.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

EA buys Projekt Red. The Witcher 4 has 16 new DLC, each at the price of actual game. Also, it doesn't work on launch day

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Don't forget loot boxes! Lots and lots of loot boxes!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Still sad there won't be a fourth one...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I felt like they closed it off well and gave players closure. As for the gameplay, they'll keep making games, so I'm looking forward to that

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah it is and I wouldn't dare to tell them to make another one, as they shouldn't suck out every last drop out of a franchise (like Gothic)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Still sad to know you won't see Geralt return...you can at least stull read the books though which are also pretty nice

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What dlcs were free? I had to pay for blood and wine

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Others already said, but yeah they did nice little extras, which some companies likely would have charged for as microtransactions. 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The large scale expansions were paid, but I hear they were fantastic (haven't played them yet, I got into W3 late). 2/2

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Same, it's my current obsession. I want those expansion packs something fierce.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Outfits, extra missions, armor, etc. Outside the expansion DLCs, it was all free

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

expansion isn't considered the same as DLC for them. DLC is little things, expansion big things. elder scrolls style.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

the 17 small DLC's. Outfits, New Game+ and alot of others.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And look at that, I count 16 free DLC items.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes, be more like the guys who do illegal shakedowns of suspected pirates and treat their employees like shit.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

Yes they make good games but they're a giant company that doesnt give a shit about you!

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Them treating their employees shitty has been deducted several times over. They pay the nation average for comparable living wages and 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

occupations with massively strict deadlines is always going to be high pressure, and a few disgruntled/disillusioned employees blow 2/3

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

things WAY out of proportion. 3/3

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was really never too into the game. The combat was subpar.

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 12

TW3 was subpar is every respect.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 5

Wat???

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Its defenitley not subpar, unique yes, but the sheer amout of ways to fight is insane. It gets much better in the late game

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I loved the game but I can't disagree with you on that.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The expansions improved it a bit, but it was always about the story and exploration for me

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Yea it was a good play through but I feel like I try and play it again and can't get into it

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Fair enough

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you want combat try Horizon: Zero Dawn

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

LOL

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I can see why people love it, but the map is broken for me so I can't fast travel or go to other zones.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Purely out of curiousity - Are you trying to fast travel from the map, or from the sign posts?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

From sign posts, but the problem is that my map doesn't work *at all*. It's just a black screen when I open it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’m almost 100hrs intonthe game and I never encountered that.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

"ghost mode" and "preparations" mods. there, w3 as it was probably intended to be.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What’s that???

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/992 "The mod focuses on improving overall gameplay by fixing bugged and over/underpowered skills, (1/2)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

(2/2) balancing of crafting, loot and economy while still keeping the game as close to vanilla as possible."

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Such an incredible game too. EA and Ubisoft should take notes.

8 years ago | Likes 522 Dislikes 6

@betterluckythangood, the only thing we need to take note of is how much money we have, and how much they don't.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I think Ubi is at least starting to try.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

most companies should I don't even have the game but next week I will cause fuck that's an awesome way to say thank you

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

EA doesn’t take notes, they take companies and franchises then destroy them.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Yeah notes dont make them money.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

EA forces you to pay full price for DLC if you play a game with access, which you already pay for. You lose access, you lose your paid DLC.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Chinese pay to win companies own Ubisoft now, so the suckage is really just starting.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Apparently EA with Battlefront 2 after a while, “Ok we milked the suckers dry, now let’s actually aim at an enjoyable experience.”

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ubi did, AC:O has so many Witcher-inspired elements

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yes. It's brilliant!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They did. They wrote down '16 DLCs' and then got blinded by dollar signs before they could read the rest.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Like that par about three years of developments

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

That would require them to have intelligence first

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did you not play AC: Origins? It was essentially AC cribbing the Witcher's notes.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I haven't, I got jaded after a bunch of AC games being..all the same game. But people keep talking about Origins, maybe it's worth a shot.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a time sink game. There is so much to do I am absolutely gobsmacked by it.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They'd need a notebook first

8 years ago | Likes 85 Dislikes 0

Maybe a 2TB hard drive to store all that information.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sorry that's extra. But if you want the pages you need to buy the paper dlc for the notebook dlc

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'll sell them one for 29.99. Good for 100 uses/pages

8 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

To be able to tear out pages you'll need to pay another 4.99

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can get 20 more pages for the low cost of $10, repeatable.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I mean theyre going to need the premium pen DLC to actually use it though right? At 39.99, or 65.99 as a bundle

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Or they can buy loot boxes at 4.99 each. It has a 0.1% drop rate.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They need to care first

8 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 0

Yep. They are the way they are and shloads of people still throw their money at them.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hit them in their wallets. It will be hard, but don’t buy games that do the behavior you don’t like, even if they’re good games.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It’s recently been hypothesised that hitting them with our wallets won’t work because of whales, we need to berate them on social media

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

EA and Ubisoft don't make RPG games so...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 6

lol what?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

South Park: The Fractured but Whole, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Mass Effect 1-3, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Weren't those 16 DLC items individual mundane things like skins and you still paid for the expansions?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yeah, it was tiny shit like different hair and beard styles for Geralt. And that shit was announced before they delayed the release...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

... No reason those "16 free DLCs" couldn't have been packaged into the game while they were still working on it through the delay.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But that wouldn't have given them the free PR.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They were things other companies would have no problem selling to you as individual DLC for 5-10$. And yes, the expansions cost money 1/

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

2/ but they had 20+ hours of content so most people would probably agree that this is worth the price of admission.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not complaining about the price. It just seems like the 16 free DLCs thing is being presented in a way to mislead

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's marketing, for sure. But it's clever marketing; most companies WOULD charge extra for such content, so labeling it as free DLC lets

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

people know what it is they are getting, and what the cost is; free.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If anything, CDPR is less misleading than other devs because they actually differentiate between DLC and expansions. Most of the time 1/

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2/ when games get DLC equivalent to what the witcher3 got the would sell that to you. Even highly acclaimed games like XCom2 do that. 2/

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A lot of the free DLCs were new quests that added like an hour or so each (totaling about 10), but yes much was cosmetic

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't get me wrong I love the Witcher series but CD Projekt Red needs to be more organized and treat their staff better

8 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 7

I am willing to let it slide because the games are great but I totally agree with you.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 5

This applies to literally almost all of them.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

While i'm not saying its NOT true, at the same time when people leave a company and then start talking shit, take it with a grain of salt.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

It's a successful game development company. Tight deadlines produces high pressure environments. People complaining about working there is>

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Wasn't the staff thing disproven? Thought there was an official reply clearing things up.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

>literally the only thing anyone can find "wrong" with CDPR, but take it with a grain of salt. People are petty fucks.

8 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 4

It's a pretty big problem because it caused a lot of the people who made witcher 3 the game it is to quit.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That's very often how game development goes once the project is finished. This is normal. They still keep the core group of developers.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

That is the problem they lost most of the core group because of terrible management.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

No, they lost some SENIOR developers, not key developers. The one big loss was art director Michal Stec.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Project red makes great games but that does not change the fact they are a terrible company to work for.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

So make a post about it. Seriously, ANY high pressure company is going to have people claiming they were horribly treated.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I mean, overworking and mistreating employees is a pretty big thing to find wrong with a company, but I also have no idea how true it all is

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

What's true is that it's high pressure and people are going to be disgruntled. It doesn't mean they were treated unfairly.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Define "unfairly". Many jobs are high-pressure. They were very explicitly overworked. But I suppose you could call it fair if everyone was.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's what you're signing up for.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Most jobs have pressure. Jobs that have STRICT deadlines like game or film companies, or for example, SpaceX, is EXTREMELY high pressure.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Hasn't been a single 9/10 game since Witcher 3 imo

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey were the only ones for me. But I agree in principle. Not only has virtually every other game [1/2]

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

since not seemed truly great, but it's also largely BECAUSE Witcher 3 set the bar so high that STILL nobody has really been able to meet it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

TW3 was 5/10 at best.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 6

Just out of curiosity, what is, in your opinion, a 9 or 10/10 game like?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fair question. Like, do you want examples or do you want my criteria?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Uh maybe just general criteria and 1 example? Haven’t seen many people who dislike it so I’m curious about your perspective

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So I generally care about two things: plot and gameplay. So like HZD was a favorite, excellent story and polished gameplay (though it was

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Depends on what you want out of games. There have been several 10/10 games for me. Just not from the AAA industry.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Could you share some examples?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I could, but it's subjective. My 10/10 will be different from other people's. Often devolves into ppl getting mad I liked a game too much 1/

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2/ Or that I didn't give "their" fav game a 10/10. So I usually just stick to saying that there's a lot of good stuff there if you look 2/

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

3/ It also really depends on what you want from games. A lot of what I enjoy has been oversimplified in most new AAA games.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Agree, totally subjective. Wasn't looking for a discussion, just tips for good games i might have missed :)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'll send you a list when I have a bit of time to go through my library. :3

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

CD Projekt Red is the Elon Musk of gaming companies

8 years ago | Likes 337 Dislikes 27

That is apparently more accurate than you probably realize, or intend.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 3

Ummm...no really.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

...what did Elon Musk ever do you for us/you? He's quirky and all, but he's not exactly an altruist.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Except CD Projekt Red has been found to treat its employees like shit, so maybe good games, but not a good company

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So.. they're like Musk.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And both are not from Murica

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And...?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

You could now try to find the connection but... that that looks like too difficult for you, yet.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Supporting such silliness of suing Top Gear for a Tesla review?

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Wait what?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Type "Tesla Top Gear" lawsuit into Google. It was basically a big waste of time and the courts said "giving a review is not defamation"

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is Elon shit to his employees?

8 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 22

Yes they all think he's the shit. Hence why they work for him.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

He demands a LOT from his employees, but whether or not he's shit to them depends on which employee you ask. Some love working for him [1/3]

8 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 1

and doing the work they do and don't mind the long hours so much because it's something they and Elon are extremely passionate [2/3]

8 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

about. Others consider it to be the fourth circle of Hell.[3/3]

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 1

I mean, I dont know what do people expect going into a company like that. 9-5 workday?

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Making 17 tp 21 an hour with long hours means overtime and good money. If they don't like it, they can work elsewhere

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

In your opinion the wage is fine, so that justifies union busting? You decided the workers have no rights b/c you love Elon? Fuck that.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Workers have every right protected by government

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

EA drone pls go

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 11

This is verifiable fact

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 6

Not really, most of it is he said/she said

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

Read the company's response and tell me with a straight face that it isnt an admission covered in PR shit

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

This became a minority when people finally realized that video games were actually something to turn a profit on.

8 years ago | Likes 290 Dislikes 7

Oh, you mean with the invention of pinball tables?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To be perfectly honest games started being something to turn a profit in arcades

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They were always for profit what are you talking about? They're not art pieces.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well that's the reality of companies in general. To make a profit.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Nah, it is a non-educated consumer base, with an addiction to the hype. Older games have been bit by disappointment, so we either concede

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

spending the money, or just don't at all. The $15 I spent on Minecraft has translated in to 5000h+ entertainment. I played Destiny 2 for

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

maybe 50 hours, payed $100 in WoW gold. Cost =/= value, and this discrepancy is becoming more and more obvious.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

turning a profit is one thing, gauging your customers at every opportunity is what's happening.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

lol what EA is doing is extracting all their internal organs and selling them at a profit. XD

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And then cryo freezing them 2hen they underperform

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

did you mean "gouging"?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I did, thanks

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

CDPR has made assloads on The Witcher 3, in no small part due to the extremely consumer-friendly reputation they've now developed.

8 years ago | Likes 81 Dislikes 1

Kind of reminds me of when Stardock made bank off Sins of a Solar Empire, simply because it was a decent game with NO DRM.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hate it now cause you have to log into that shitty DRM that barely works

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Apparently it has been too long since I have played, Sins has DRM now??

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Exactly. Happy consumer = more money. Companies with good PR make the most

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

They're still nowhere near the profit margins of companies like EA, Ubisoft, Activision, etc. Their workers suffered longer for less too.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Exactly, you make more money from not being a dick and giving things for free over being a dick and screwing over consumers.

8 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

Games should be $80, but nobody buys those games, and now they need alternatives, ya morons.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

State of Decay 2 looks great for $30. No micro transactions but it’ll have dlc for $50. First SoD was great even without dlc though

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don’t think anyone would mind paying $80 for a well polished, inspirational AAA that’s full of content.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I would much rather dish out an extra $20 and get a well developed, complete game, free of the constant money grabbing bullshit.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'd still wait for a sale 9 times out of 10 though. I have so many great games laying around I didn't get to yet I don't mind waiting

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Which is fair and all, but having DLC AND Lootboxes AND Microtransactions AND a season pass...it's a bit too much.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Not really, no. If a game is well designed (Fallout Shelter or TF2) You can completely ignore the Micro-transactions.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Aye, which is why all those heavy milking games are too much.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But those are so few and far between outside of shitty mobile games and EA/Ubisoft. People complain, yes, but it's not a big deal.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is definitely an issue. The cost of developing AAA games has ballooned to often nine figures, but games themselves have stayed the[1/4]

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

same price for decades now, not even being adjusted for inflation (so technically they've actually gotten a lot cheaper). I loathe loot[2/4]

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

boxes and microtransactions and have never spent even a penny to support these things, but it's really not surprising companies are [3/4]

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

trying to find additional revenue streams. People expect these really expensive, cutting-edge games nowadays but won't buy them for $120.[4]

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I can't wait for cyberpunk

8 years ago | Likes 867 Dislikes 0

Cant say that word now. Its Trademarked.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 6

HA! How’d that go?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"beep"

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sorry I said the same thing in a comment before I seen yours

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They just pulled in a heap more staff to help out with it too. Maybe they're crunching. Can't wait.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wait is over

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This has not aged well.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Same

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I played the pen and paper rpg for weeks on end with my mates back in my teens. Bloody awesome..

8 years ago | Likes 62 Dislikes 0

Omg, I did too. It was suuuuch a slice and dice world. It was awesome. Too bad it didn’t continue on.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

My next PC upgrade will be based around CP2020

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

or 2047 or whatever.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I come from the future, it didn't go well...

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Idk if you guys know this but in tw3 there was a little easter egg pointing towards that game. I am excited as fuck

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2077 is gonna be a good year for games.

8 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 0

Let's hope everyone gets their games out early. If the Fallout universe has taught us anything, it's that the Great War ends Oct 23, 2077

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Let's hope everyone get their games out good.*

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can’t wait for Call of Duty: Great War

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Would you kindly direct me to additional information on this?

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

I'm hoping it will be similar to STALKER

Yes give us some juicy saucy sauce

http://www.cyberpunk.net/ Gonna be a futuristic RPG with guns and robots. Personally I’m psyched to see what CDPR can do in a future setting

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Witcher with guns?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Maybe. Also the devs have said that it’ll be a single-player game, but multiplayer isn’t ruled out, so maybe Witcher with guns and friends!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Up until literally today, the only things we knew were "Coming when it's ready" and "beep."

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Check out the trailer. It's beautiful!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's called Cyberpunk 2077. There's otherwise not a lot of info: it'll be a story-driven single player RPG in a Cyberpunk setting. They've..

"Single-player" They mentioned in an interview they wanted to have a hub space/world where you can meet other players so we will see

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Been very tight lipped.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Well thank you so much. I'm all manner of intrigued.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Please don't ever change CD Projekt Red.

8 years ago | Likes 2411 Dislikes 13

Wait for EA to come in. Change it to Cash Dollars Projekt Red.

"From the gaming company that sounds like they just picked 3 words out of a hat."

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I want to just take the whole team and wrap them in a biiiiiig, protective hug

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I still hate their name though. 3 completely unrelated words LOL.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

Today making a profit out of a game is really hard without microtransactions. Maybe they should start doing that to pay the employes better.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

This stuff makes me proud to be polish and you can't truly imagine how proud I can be of my country since it mostly disappoint me with 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

fckd up politics and law going to shit every year but seeing CDR making smth decent and which is well recieved brings a tear to my eye 2/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No they should cahnge one thing. Their treatment of employees

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

you either die a hero....

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Please keep your mandated overtime/slave labor on your employees and add a meaningless note in the game to make me feel special... Thanks

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

This is how EA used to be.....

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Maybe start paying your employees a decent wage. Maybe.

8 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 2

I don't know what you mean by decent wage since there is no source but average wage in Poland is 2500PLN/month which today is about 729USD

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Can't wait for cyberpunk

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

sounds like my ex

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean...maybe don't work your employee to death.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I heard their employees hope they do. Seems like a pretty terrible place to work at, sadly.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Its not, they have normal hours and average pay per the country. The rumor was started by so internet troll/disgruntled employee

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Seems to me that there's a LOT of people claiming terrible conditions, for it to just be one guy being salty.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ya but this stuff catches like wild fire. A couple complaints (real or not) get blown out of proportion and suddenly they're the devil

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Change a little bit. I hear working for them is like a nightmare

8 years ago | Likes 72 Dislikes 5

Its a little frustrating to see everyone defend them like they can do no wrong, the main problem, or "nightmare" rather is that they-

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

-don't have the proper people in charge of managing someone And also how the main person in charge has the "my way or the high way" attitude

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sad fact of making games: In order to create something like Witcher 3, 200 peoples' lives have to be a nightmare for 3 years.

8 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

They just created a third studio in Poland to help work on Cyberpunk 2077. Hopefully it eases their workload a bit.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

They have to work hard hours and lower pay due to the companies financial stuff.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

From what I heard they pay a decent wage by polish standards, its just immigrant workers from the US or Western Europe expecting more.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think its low by industry standards however as Well but idk.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So don't get a job there. They need passionate people, not people looking to clock out after exactly 8 hours.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Careful there, you're pushing dangerously close to the Alex St. John line, and if ya don't know that line, trust me, ya don't wanna do that

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Got a point though, you expect it to be hard, they love what they do. You have to as well or you won't stick to it.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Where’d you hear that? Do you hang by their HQ? Or do you happen to stick around the water-coolers, spreading rumors?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not the one who originally replied, but I've got a friend in the industey. He said that they pay low (even for eastern Europe) and long 1/

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Overwork time. If you work for them, you do it for your portfolio and get a slightly more relaxed shop elsewhere.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Working for any video game company is a nightmare. Without mircotransactions, even the most popular video games have limited profit.

8 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 1

Not only was the dev cycle hell but the management for the game was absolutely awful. Miracle the game isas high quality as it is.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not all game studios are like that. You only hear about the bad ones and not so much about the good ones.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You know nothing of the gaming industry. Games without micros make way too little money for the expertise required to make them.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

No? Well, as someone who has been working in the gaming industry for nearly 3 years, I'd think that I might know a little bit.
