Absolutely great flick about a drug bust.

You guys can't complain about bad sequels if you beg for everything to have a sequel

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

MRW when people talk about Deadpool being the first good R-rated superhero movie.

He did such a good job.

Loved Dredd as a comic. The movies, meeehhh.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Casting Call! : Seeking stubbled chin, little to no experience needed.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ace movie. Also, Karl Urban's jaw has more charisma than most modern action movie stars combined.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you pay attention to the stories and the comics, the "remake" is actually a sequel

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Shell shocked

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just keep hope alive. The last airbender is getting a sequel, and no one besides M. Night Shamallamadingdong wants that

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dredd was great

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This film has some of the best one liners, ever!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah, if we disregard Arnolds entire career but they were sweet

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I AM THE LAW!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Damn it! I was under the impression that Maw Maw was the law.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I AM THE LAW!!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

i swear if the dont have a stallone cameo. im going full on roger on my own stuff

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I thought Dredd was the sequel to The Raid?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

A rip off of the Raid, not a sequel. I enjoyed both though. There is a raid 2 though, yeah?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

22 years later you are sad they aren't making a sequel to a movie that boasts a solid 18% on Rotten Tomatoes?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Different movie dude. This is the one he/she wants the sequel for - https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/dredd/. We don't speak about THAT film.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ahhhh. Was wondering.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

That's mrw they have the old judge dredd on Netflix but not the new one anymore

8 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

They're showing it on IFC, uncensored, but with commercials.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Eh baby is asleep listening to music can't switch the channel

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Been there, don't blame you. Another showing on Saturday. FYI.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Getting married on Saturday haha I might have it recorded than

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Put the Blu-Ray on your wedding registry.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Absolutely loved that movie. What a shame there will not be a sequel!

8 years ago | Likes 196 Dislikes 3

Totally agree but I felt like they took a lot of content from the movie The Raid check it out if you haven't

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You know that joke where u say 'I'll hit u so hard ur grandma will feel it'.Well Stallone did the movie version of that.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I enjoyed it but the slo-mo stuff was overdone and killed the pacing

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't want it ruined by a shit sequel though

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Watching it right now! I did just read something about a possible series, maybe even with Karl Urban. Not 100% how solid it was, though.

8 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 2

Now that would be the way to do it. A tv show would be awesome

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I heard about that as well

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That's two confirmed. It MUST be happening

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's called mega city one I believe... It's happening.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

when!?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So is going to be like 'Gotham' where they try to do a Batman story without Batman?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My wife said she didn't like it. And it made me really sad.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

have you considered getting a divorce?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I love it but get where someone wouldn't. The violence is pervasive, but not Robocop levels of "too gleefully cartoonish to take seriously."

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My own wife tends to shy away from stuff that lands in that spot, and honestly, I usually do, too. Even though I loved Dredd.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It was the one liners.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I guess I can see that, too, though it's been long enough I don't know if I remember them. Clearly, a re-watch is in order.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

TBH i like the original with Stalone more

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Blasphemy!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Absolutely agree, can't understand the hate it gets. Really enjoyed this one too though

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

it was nice, I agree, but I'm a bit jaded on the whole over the top hyper-realist violence thing we have nowadays and prefer to see 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

some good old over the top violence that borders on the ridiculous and cartoonish.. I find it more entertaining 2/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They're making a TV series

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And it will be worthlesa without Carl Urban.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well then, i may or may not be erect now.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Any word on if Dredd will actually be in it though or is it going to be like 'Gotham' where they do it minus the titular hero?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There's a hell of a lot more to MC1 than Dredd. Look up Judge Minty on YouTube to see the kind of stories they could tell.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

that would be a cool story! wouldn't mind that one

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but it's not like we had too much of Dredd on film / tv.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They're making a Mega-City One TV show, and they want Urban back. http://ew.com/tv/2017/05/19/judge-dredd-karl-urban/

8 years ago | Likes 67 Dislikes 0

Don't we all...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They really shouldnt. Keep it short and sweet

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I get what you're saying, but the #1 complaint I heard from my longterm 2000 AD friends was that Dredd's world is SO rich and they only 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

show you one building from that whole world in Dredd. The point of that flick was always "do it lowkey now and afford to do it right later."

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He says he'll feature in it, but he isn't going to be the main focus, because he's a big deal actor and shit.

8 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

He was a pretty big deal when they did the Almost Human TV show

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but now he's in the marvel universe

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't know much about Dredd beyond the movie, but Star Trek qualifies Urban as a Disney princess too.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

My wife and I looked forward to each episode because we loved the dialog between him and his costar, and how well they worked together.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Not gonna be released till 2019, so you'll be looking forward for a while.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was referring to the Almost Human TV show as a reply to the mention of it by @kutison .

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Honestly it's a movie that shouldn't have a sequel anyway it was perfect and ended on a perfect note

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 6

Not a sequel as in a direct followup, just expanding the franchise.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mega City One deserves more tales. I dont understand adult fascination with comic book super heroes. Id give them a pass if it was 2000AD

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

So you can get on board with judge Dredd, but no other comic? You know he's a comic book hero too...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

hes just a tough cop in a dystopian future ala mad max. He doesnt wear a spandex cape & fly around with jimmy olsen. Im just being critical>

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

< given more screen time. Given that the amount of nerds hyping those marvel movies i expect more non childish stuff.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

True, but it was done so well and Urban did a fantastic job, a lot of people, myself included, would love to see it expanded.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

What we got was good. We don't need it milked if there wasn't a plan for it to be spread over a series.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah but just imagine it expanded and the studio not trying at all and just sucking as most sequels do

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Sadly, this happens to so many movies. That, or they get drug out to endless sequels (cough, cough, fast and furious and Saw)

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I think the difference here is, there's a widely-loved and rich story for Dredd, and we only got to see the tiniest corner of that world.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a kid i loved dredd, even back then super heroes seemed immature as fuck. 2000AD is classic dystopian future stuff.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think they both have their types of immaturity and also their chance to teach us things about ourselves, you know? I love 'em both.
