Got off at the wrong city in Vietnam and ended up spending the day with ducks.

So I was planning on going to Ninh Binh, more affectionately known as "Ha Long Bay on land". Looked crazy gorgeous so I decided to book a bus there from Hanoi, which was meant to take just a couple of hours. The bus lumped all of the tourists on the same bus, even though most people were going to different places. The Ninh Binh group got on first and we ended up waiting a couple of hours for everyone else to board. So I fell asleep.

I don't know how I passed out so hard, but I woke up at 5 AM in Phong Nha, about 10 hours away. I was the last person on the bus and had a mini panic attack. That mistake ended up being one of the most fun days of traveling I've ever had. I found some people I had met the week before and we all rented bikes and cycled around the gorgeous area. One of the activities we ended up doing was stopping at a duck farm, where the owners made us throw ducks into a pond for good luck. Sometimes the best adventures happen by accident.
