This is Chance, a little dude who had a huge impact on our family.
The story starts with Bella, a 6 month old Chow/Pit/Boxer rescue with broken legs who turned into the most amazing, protective, & obedient companion and member of our family. At age 8, Bella got sick. After multiple blood transfusions over 6 months, we had to make a quality of life decision the last week of 2017. I'm a wreck typing this, reliving it, but it absolutely broke my wife. She experienced profound depression for the first time in her life and just could not get over it. She wept daily for seven months and she wasn't the same person. After many attempts, I finally talked her into trying another dog in August of 2018. So we got Chance, named for him being a second chance (and also because we live in Vegas)
Chance is a Shar-Pei mix and started out with a ton of wrinkles. Here he is with 'Ratty'
These are Chance's parents. Dad is Shar-Pei mix (80 pounds!) and mom is Pitbull and Airedale Terrier mix.
He's a little clown. Here's his "playing in the water bowl" phase .
He also went through a pull the toilet paper out of the bathroom phase, but thankfully that was a short one.
This is the same incident as above picture. The little rat fucker knew he wasn't supposed to be doing it so he's tearing through the house at top speed and heading outside.
Finally dropped it.
Here's his phase of tearing pieces of bark off our palm tress and playing with them. Or maybe he's praying to it. Wrinkles mostly gone.
He's 8 months now. His blue puppy eyes turned into a greenish gray and he's got this wispy weird little beard from his Airedale roots. He's a handsome boy. But most importantly, he's a part of our family and he brought my wife back to herself. He's our joy who makes us laugh daily and is the self-appointed protector of his realm.
Derpy face puppy tax.

Wherever she is be assured that Bella is proud of Chance.
