I've always enjoyed art, but never really got into painting besides watercolor. I wanted to have something cute on the walls of my baby's room and wanted to do something more personal. This was my practice flower in a corner behind the door in case I hated it.
I didn't totally hate it.
So I moved onto the main wall behind the crib. Left side.
Right side.
Finished flowers. The quilted changing pad was a homemade gift.
I tried to freehand the name. But couldn't get it straight or in a way that I liked, so I borrowed a projector and used the font Hello Honey. I changed up the B a little bit, but other than that it's just traced.
First in black paint with a paint pen.
Then I went over the paint pen with paint and tried to do a gradient from lighter brown to darker brown to match the flowers better.
Final product. I'm so happy with how it came out and I put so much love into it. My baby is just a baby so she doesn't care, but I hope someday she will look back and love it and know that it was painted with love.

This will be a vivid memory of love that Bailey will hold their entire life. Very good job.

My dad painted a train on my childhood wall and that’s the kind of stuff you remember forever... your kid will cherish that in years to come

That makes me happy to hear! That's exactly how I hope she will look at it once she's old enough to understand.
