I remember playing GEX Enter the Gecko on PSX

I watched a playthrough of Gex: Enter the Gecko not long ago. It's amazing how annoying I find that character now.

I actually got to play one. it had good games in all honesty.

Games are stupid expensive but moreso just hard to find. I''m sure you can *acquire* the ISOs online and play them burned on your real hardware. Nice piece of old-school tech either way.

Was it this or the CDI that could play VCDs with an expansion card?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

CDi. However the Goldstar model of 3do could play VCDs

It says multiplayer right on it, but only has one controller port...

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There's also a controller port on top of every 3DO controller. So if you want a player 2 you have to plug another controller into the first.

That’s like saying a car seats two but the second seat is being dragged by a chain behind the car

3do couldn't play CD-I? My brother had the laserdisc player with the 3do module. That was my only exposure to the format.

3DO did have a Digital Video Module that supports Video CDs (VCD) , 3DO Digital Video Software, and MPEG-1 hardware-assisted digital video.

It's been a long time. My brother had a LaserActive. It's probably still at my folks house. I doubt it still works.

Cool collectible a Pioneer LaserActive! I would dig it up.
