I was told he was dealing with panic attacks, anxiety, and some depression. My mom got him to go to a medical center. 3 days in, he killed himself because they failed their job. They did so many fishy things while he was there. I was told after that he was incredibly suicidal. I had no idea until after he was gone. He won't even see me graduate college next year...I miss him so much and its only been a week

I send my condolences to you and your family....

I am so sorry. As someone who struggles daily with depression/anxiety, sometimes it can get the better of you.

3 days? Failed their job? That's not how this works. Still condolences.

Sorry to hear @OP. Best of luck getting through this time.

3 days isn't enough for them to even start making an Impact and if a grown man wants to die he's probably gonna. Sorry, but not their fault.

Yeah, it is very important. When you're trying to find a reason to stay alive, be selfless. Think of those who must carry on afterward.

I'm not the best person to talk to but I know one thing working in an institution. If someone wants to kill themselves they will.

Please don't beat yourself up over this. It wasn't your fault, don't blame your family, and in earnest my condolences.

Depression sucks, going through it sucks, and dealing with the thought of killing your self is a hard, and it's always depressing to

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

here someone take their own life, your loss will be mourned, and your dad will be missed. It's shameful that the "help" he got wasn't doing

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

their jobs properly, but I bet in the end, your dad loved you with all his heart.

Surprisingly, difficulty mentally and emotionally tends to run in families, whether genetically or because of how they learned to cope.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

yes but if you look at their other posts, it's suicide of friend, their own suicide, suicide of dad...too many for one account.

Mental health issues often run in the family.

If someone is acting this way at a hospital who is suicidal, they are put under watch, which they never did at the facility.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

suicide is an uncontrollable monster. when you're depressed, and have anxiety you just can't handle it.

9 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 8

It builds itself inside you and tears you down repeatedly until you are urged to snuff it all out to no longer feel it.

It's like, the problem itself be present takes away the person's ability to know whether or not there is a problem. It's a catch-22 and it's

a terrible, terrible thing.

All you can do is be there for him. If he is set on leaving this world than show him what he's going to be leaving behind. Show him love.
