Huskies and malamutes are WORKING DOGS. They are bred to live in snow and pull sleds, so they have a serious need to expend excess energy doing meaningful work. Keeping them cooped up with nothing to do during work hours just so their "owner" can parade them around their tidy little McMansion dul-de-sac for twenty minutes a day is pure effete selfishness IMO.
