Please help find Korra a home.

We found Korra last month on the side of a major highway in Atlanta. She was tangled in rope and trash and had obviously been dumped. She was so sad and so tired.

She was afraid at first, but I eventually coaxed her into the car and we took her home. She slept for three straight days and ate like she was starving. She acted like she'd been abused (not uncommon with pits, unfortunately) but rapidly warmed up to me and my husband.

A couple weeks later, look how happy!!! Look at that smile! Once she was healthy enough, we got her spayed and all her shots. The vet gave her a clean bill of health and she's getting stronger every day.

She ADORES my husband and always tries to get in his lap.

Korra is a wonderful, sweet little girl, but for various reasons we cannot keep her. If we could, there's no way we'd let her go. She's awesome.

Vet says she's about two years old and approaching (within ~5 lbs. of) the right weight. She's built like a tank and we're pretty sure her skull is solid rock. She loves her Kong, rawhide, and walks, but most of all she just wants to be with people who love her. I also had her evaluated by a couple pit experts and they believe she would do best either alone or with a larger male dog.

She honestly has so much love to give and deserves a home where she can give it freely to a family who will love her back just as much.

FYI we are in northeast Atlanta (Duluth).

did you find a place for her?

Reach out to the local adoption charities that are non profit and locally ran not the big ones like humans or aspca. They can probably help

Thanks, I've done that already. Atlanta shelters are packed full of pits. They cannot take her.

None. I'm very active myself in the rescue community here; even with my contacts it's a breed and space issue. I've even checked Savannah.
