What else would you name a company that sells giant fans?

Feb 25, 2018 11:28 PM

For those asking below, this was taken at La Romana airport in the Dominican Republic

They also sell big ass lights. I think they should be called bright ass lights though.

I chuckle every time I go to the local Costco and see the pair of these mounted above the registers.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well I too am a Big Ass Fan!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The IM building of my university has these on a basketball court and they do their damn job.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I love that their logo is a donkey

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Amazon I worked at had several.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We have quite a few at my work. The blades are a bit bigger, however.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As someone who works at Lowes it’s always funny when a customer thinks I’m joking when I suggest Big Ass fans for large fan purchases

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Can confirm, amazing company and amazing products. Used to sell them years ago. High quality.

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

We have several in our shop. Great fans, awesome engineering. The box graphic is well done.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

they make good stuff. they are my default for HVLS fans.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They give away donkey stress toys and whoopee cushions at trade shows & continuing education classes! Love those guys.

Theyre hurricanes on demand.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Worked in hangar with three of these in it and a bunch of pigeons living in it. Became quite a home run derby.

8 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

I work in a library and we have 6. We don't run them very fast.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do you work on Andrew's?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We're you there when it broke loose and ruined the chase car? Fun day. Fun 19 hour day...

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I sell these. Great product and company. Still chuckle at the name every time

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not A Small Fan Company

I want to open a store called "Big Ass Subs" we would sell sandwiches and speakers.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Have working in a warehouse where summer temps get into the 90s then working with these next year is night and day. from godawful to not.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

They’re a great product. If I can ever justify affording one, I’ll get one. For now I just occasionally install them

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The logistics warehouse I work at has these, as well as stickers on the floors that read "big ass fan coming soon!"

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have a Big Ass coffee mug on my desk at work.

Big Spinny Bois, Inc.

8 years ago | Likes 119 Dislikes 2

Who would win: A 45degree week long heat wave or 1 big spinny boi

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

That not a hot wave

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

My first thought, "why would you have a fan on when it was 45°?" I am not a smart woman.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What is that in freedoms units?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Pretty fuckin toasty my dude. (like over 90 I think)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Approximately (exactly) 113°Free.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I used to work for a company that did business with them. AS it was told to me, they were originally called '[City Name] Ventilation' (1/2)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

but the owner kept getting calls asking for 'one o' them big-ass fans'. Eventually he just embraced it and changed the name. (2/2)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like big butts

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Was this in Costa Rica airport? I was just there and we all giggled at this fan looks super similar if not!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

ceiling looks familiar

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It was at La Romana airport, i had never seen them before, but from the comments they seem to be everywhere :)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was gonna say punta cana

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They originally HVLS Fans (High Volume Low Speed), and everytime they installed one someone said, 'that's a big ass fan'. It stuck.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Their logo is a donkey. I ran into them at a job fair once and they were giving out little donkey shaped stress balls

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What is this company paying you folks? Do an Imgur search for “big ass fans” and marvel at the volume of nearly identical posts.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

A contractor installed one at my warehouse and the painters somehow bent one of the wings. Had to replace the whole thing

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

They aren't cheap either. We specify them as engineers and contractors always want to buy something else to cut costs. Cheap bastards.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh I should say the painters had to pay for a new one.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The whole blade or the whole fan? I would imaging the blades come off.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’d imagine it bent the connecting rotor which is the frame all the blades are attached too. Off balancing that even a little is bad.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Eesh

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We've worked with these occasionally. One of my coworkers appropriately titled a small project (for purpose of filing, etc.) ... 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 323 Dislikes 2

... "Big Ass Fan ___". He got a mild talking-to before he explained to admin that it was an actual company/product name. 2/2

8 years ago | Likes 270 Dislikes 0

What a tale. One for the ages.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

True story, their mascot is as Ass named Fanny. Also they had an issue with their emails getting caught by spam filters.

8 years ago | Likes 162 Dislikes 2

I love the residential options. Call their customer service. They’re awesome.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Damn, that's one expensive house fan.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I have a pair of their 14 footers in my garage/workshop. A friend of mine had one and convinced me to buy. Holy crap do they move some air!

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

So it has come to this.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Dude how big is your bedroom? These fans are fucking huge

8 years ago | Likes 80 Dislikes 1

I've got two in our living room. These things can move some air. It's necessary, though!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0
