It was always my dream to work at Disney. My nephew's were so thrilled when they got to go &just see Cinderella's castle.

30. Male. Cried.

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I'm not crying.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yup crying on my way to work...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Who cut all these damn onions?

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 3

I was really expecting three fiddy and the Loch Ness monster.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I used to work in the character department at Disneyland. Being friends with Mickey was the best job I ever had.

Not all heroes wear a cape.

This was before that other one...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Fuck man, I already read this story once, told it to someone else once, I don't need to cry a third time today.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Those little girls... they may carry that weight, but reddit OP lessened the burden, even if for just a day.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh mans. Guise. This one bolly wopped my ticker.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Read that as Tor Guide first time. Carry on.

Buddy of mine was "Friends with Goofy" and occasionally was scheduled for meet and greets at Arnold Palmer for terminally ill children (1)

He said those were his hardest days, but by far the most rewarding (2)

9 years ago | Likes 82 Dislikes 0

I think that's something I could never do work with dyeing people or even worse children my heart would be broken so fast.

9 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

Expected Mickey to turn out to be 10 ft tall and from the paleolithic era.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 4

I'm wrecked. But so glad I saw this. Thanks, OP. I had been having a tough day.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not crying, YOU'RE CRYING!

9 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 3

We're all crying, like little bitches!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You're right, I'm crying.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Or are you lying?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've been in parades at Disney for over 11 years now. This is why I do what I do.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm always suspicious of stuff like this. They were kids from overseas, but knows English? From britain, australia, new zealand? Maybe.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

Depending on their ages this isn't unusual. The majority of kids in European countries learn English at a very young age and can speak it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also the fact that they were not being handled by their origin countries embassy or that their parents had apparently gotten one way ticket?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Americans are almost the only people who don't know more than one language. Ex-English colonies all over too, don't forget.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm not crying, I'm chopping onions!

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Imgur has ruined me. I spent that entire story waiting for the part about Mickey being a giant Scottish sea creature who needed about $3.50

9 years ago | Likes 232 Dislikes 7

Honestly I was waiting for someone to actually be a trebuchet

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Capable of launching a 90 kilogram projectile over 300 meters? Yeah that one.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Haha i saw that too, wait you're talkin abouy the one earlier... Right?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No idea what your talking about, I was just expecting it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yup. Crying.

9 years ago | Likes 391 Dislikes 2

Yep. Me too.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Me too

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm pregnant and cry easily anyway... I'm all snot nosed and hiccuping right now.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yay!!!!!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lost my mom a year ago on the 22nd. The roses part killed me. Sometimes I still accidentally use present tense.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It got me too

9 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

Come here. Let me make it better.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I knew I would right from the start. I don't know why I did this to myself.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Omg I know q

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So many onions

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

...I feel like taking two small kids to an amusement park shortly after losing both parents is kind of a fucked up thing to do.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Super fucked up. I don't know how this is heartwarming at all.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

it was to refund the tickets to get them money to try and get back home, they weren't expecting what followed

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

This. And keep in mind, if they'd been discharged from the hospital, they'd have nowhere to go, really.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That makes no sense whatsoever.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I'm with you. Since when would a hospital make 2 young children go somewhere to get a refund? They'd contact family and insurance!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or, y'know, an embassy?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And if they want a refund they aren't expecting to go in "Hey, come with us to see the fun you could be having if your family hadn't died!"

Guy

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 36

Was that necessary?

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

172 golds is that a record

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That is honestly the most upvote and gold-heavy post I've ever seen on all of Reddit. And he deserves it.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I was thinking that too it's got to be the highest voted comment on reddit or atleast most gilded

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Or give him even more reddit gold, he's now over 10 years worth from that post.

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

What does Reddit gold even do besides saving comments

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

No ads, some subreddits require you to have gold as well

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Waste real money.
