Yeah the law in the USA has always been a game played by smartasses. Sometimes you get actual principled people into positions of influence and they make a difference, then they die or get voted out, and the law goes back to being a game played by smartasses.

I mean, this isn't crazy. It's in the law. If you don't comply with Title 9, you get your federal funding pulled. If they want the money, all they have to do is comply with Title 9, they're doing it to themselves, really.

it's still wild to me how the same people are ok with unisex toilets at home but when it's a McDonalds or school it's "noooooo, they must be separated!!" just install stalls with better locks and panels from floor to ceiling.
