A drawing tutorial for kids who can't draw good

I posted this earlier today. It got a lot of comments and was showing up near the top of usersub rising, and then suddenly it was gone. The post wasn't deleted, it just suddenly disappeared from the gallery even though it was very active.

Since I didn't receive any warnings form the imgur staff, and this post is well within the TOS, I'm posting it again.

I'm reposting because I really want people to see it. I think of this little tutorial as a place to start for all of you who feel helpless about art.

A comment I frequently hear is that people would like to get into figure drawing but don't know where to start. Often people say they can't draw for shit, have tried and failed, etc.
I am here to contest that assumption and challenge you to try and draw something with me :)

All you need is a pencil and a piece of paper. We'll start with something as simple as drawing a circle. You can do it, c'mon! At the end you'll have something cool to show for, and something that you can practice over and over until it starts to get easier. You'll start to notice these shapes in people around you, and think about how you'd draw them.

Before we start, I just want to make it really clear that this isn't for artists. I know that there are some really amazing artists in our community, and they will probably look at this and cringe really hard. Listen, us common people want to be able to express an appreciation for beauty too! Let us have a shot ok? If you think that I am really not helping at all, and just teaching people bad practices and whatnot, I ask you to keep in mind that the people for whom I made this video wouldn't even pick up a pencil to begin with unless given some encouragement. I just want people to banish all of their feelings of impediment and get doodling until they can create something that makes them happy. I'm open to that discussion though. Please feel free to offer criticism, and to comment on anything that I said or did. I'll reply to everything.

I want to see the drawings of whoever tries. Also, if you need any clarification or a little extra guidance, let me know.
