Drive it out from the other side. Next time makes sure hole lines up through gas tube and use a roll pin punch.

The rollpin was out of spec. Was sent a new one from DD and it went in fine. I do use rollpin holder then a roll pin punch.

I also made a little block with a slip fit hole to support the pin on the way in. I also open up the start of the hole a small amount.

Grind the end of the pin a little if needed to start pin. I sometimes use a pin punch to keep the hole lined up while driving pin in.

Yup, a “slave pin.” I have often though of making a hollow punch that has a hole half the length of the pin deep. Haven’t done it though.
