Alright, a last one for the week. Starting this with some coffee. And we'll have heavier music for today.
Davidian
Machine Head
Hornby ON
The site was just across the street, but to access it I had to arrive from the other side.
I think this here was once a gas station in the past, and it seems they're now renovating the place.
Straps all rolled up.
And done with the stuff I had on the trailer. Now, on to Listowel.
The Heaviest Matter of the Universe
Gojira
Arthur ON
Here, we'll load a forage wagon. But first, I have to detach the front end of the trailer.
Disassembling the front end is a bit annoying with this trailer. So many steps for something so simple. The new double drop trailer we have is all hydraulic, and super easy to work with. This one here, it's alright during the summer...but in the winter..
The song is Kaiowas, by Sepultura.
I pulled ahead a bit, enough to make loading easier.
There. Done, and done. Let's go home.
Propaganda
Sepultura
Listowel ON
Imago Mortis
Marduk
Waterloo / Kitchener ON
Chain check. All good.
Bleed
Meshuggah
Toronto ON
Zero Signal
Fear Factory
Ajax / Whitby ON
Another chain check. Still good.
Death in Fire
Amon Amarth
Iroquois / Morrisburg ON
There was a major accident on the 401, involving three trucks that crashed into one another. The one in the middle was in very bad shape. Air medevac was used.
This episode was very interesting.
Considering this is the trade I have my eyes on, in the army, if it works out who knows..I might end up deployed in Latvia one day.
When Death Replaces Life
Cannibal Corpse
Les Cèdres QC
I Just Called to Say I Love You
Stevie Wonder
St-Hyacinthe QC
Back to the shop, finally!
Home to this sleepy girl!
This is my last post until my interview with the Canadian Forces Monday morning. I do think I have a chance, and from what I’ve gathered, it seems promising. But then again… maybe it’s also just a coin toss.
I’m nervous, but also confident. It’s quite a mix of feelings. I’ve put so much effort into this since starting the enrolment process, both in mind and body.
From what I understand, I could get an answer (yay or nay) within a few weeks of the interview. It would be incredible if I got a positive answer in three weeks, right on my birthday. If approved, and since I’m aiming for MSE Op, a trade where they’re short of people... I could be starting Basic Military Qualification as soon as mid-October.
Or it could be as far off as spring next year. Who knows!
Either way, it’s out of my hands. My interview is set for 9 a.m. Monday. Until then, I’ll have a full weekend. My friend has her graduation ceremony after years of working super hard for her diploma, and I’ll be there to celebrate with her. The forecast is calling for a bright, warm, sunny day for that, too. On top of that, I’ve got some work to put in the garden, a haircut booked Sunday morning, and the usual jobs around the yard.
So… a busy weekend to keep my mind occupied, and to try not to worry too much about the interview.
I want this so much. I feel ready, and I hope the effort I’ve put in will pay off.
Alright. That’s it for now. Have a good one.
Cheers!

I can’t actually speak for anyone else, but my guess is that in addition to my good wishes for good luck, there are many more who are rooting for you as well.

This is... Amazing.... considering that song was the very odd one in the mix today! And I understand how you feel, as the same can happen to me with songs my mom really enjoyed.

So I'm taking care of her because she needs the assistance, and she likes a particular satellite radio channel that happens to play this song regularly.
We both suffer a little every time it plays.

There are songs like that, that will forever remain linked to something dear to us
