Man we sure do live in a world full of stuff...

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We live in a society

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Everything is more in Europe

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, right. Greenland's airport is always closed, you can't fool me. Madagascar's seaports, too.

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

#doubt

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Canada has more airports then citys

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What about spaceports? :D

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

What's that black area North of South Korea?...

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That cities one have to be a lie

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

North Korea looking a bit blank in the cities map..

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'll take 100 on that this is not in scale.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

There's one missing- Sneezes.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i thought canada had only one road

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Roads? Where we're going, we won't need roads.

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

How is it that airports are in the Amazon while roads aren't there .

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What about the hogs?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have been to Madagascar, and I'm therefore unsure as to the accuracy of some of these maps.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do one for titties

6 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 4

Dot

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Human population map. Boom. About half for females but compensation with two boobs

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Til Hawaii has no roads what so ever

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Does too! There's at least 1 pixel of pink floating in the vastness of the ocean in that road chart

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It’s there. What do you think that little pink speck way off to the left is?

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I wanna know how Hawaii has an interstate what state does it connect to

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I think the only requirement to be an "interstate" is federal funding. See also: I-45.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And they're all from 1775

6 years ago | Likes 309 Dislikes 15

Just the Airports, from what I've heard.

6 years ago | Likes 67 Dislikes 4

Interestingly, there appears to be greater airport coverage than there are cities

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Well yeah, smaller, private airports and such for things like personal planes, crop dusters, military bases, rescue operations, etc.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Kinda makes sense. A city is defined by the population (over 100k) but there are many small communities that are fly-in only. Not to 1/2

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mention that bigger cities often have more than one airport. I lived in a small town & we still had an airport. 2/2

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I feel that's way too many airports

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What’s that slanty line off the bottom right of Australia?

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

this isn't google

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

New Zealand

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It’s where we keep our scaffolding

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Nowhere important. Just a land of sheep fuckers. :p

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Middle Earth. Rather poorly named, being off in tbe corner like that

6 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Are you serious? Everybody knows that’s the Great Barrier Reef.

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's a lot more airports than I expected tbh

6 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 1

i wonder if they're only counting big airports or all the little rural ones as well.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Australia has about 5-6 international rated airports and 40-50 regional airports. They must be including all airfields

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fun fact North Korea has Airports/Airstrips and hangers inside mountains...to bad we have bunker busters

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I've read that those bunkers are deep enough that even modern bunker busters can't reach them. Don't know if it's true or not.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Must be counting even tiny ones. Look at Canada in the Roads one and then on the Airports one. The whole top part is missing for Roads. /1

6 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

But more filled-in for Airports. There's all these tiny places where only bush planes fly to, and no roads go there. /2

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Sahara needs to step it’s game up !

6 years ago | Likes 85 Dislikes 2

I was thinking the same about Westralia.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I know, I zoomed right in and couldn't see a single sea port in the region!

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

also the amazon in brazil

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I was bored.

6 years ago | Likes 886 Dislikes 0

It would make one think that Europe has a higher population than SE Asia,l

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well that's festive as hell.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yay Europe. Yayrope?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

When Captain Planet puts on the infinity gauntlet.

6 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Not if its Cheadle Captain Planet. Then there'd be no roads, no railroads, no seaports, no cities, no airports.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

nobody look at the majority of Canada, if you mention it, you must move there

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Thankyou:)

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yisssss, thank you sir!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nice. If I didn't think it would crash my rig, I wouldn't mind shape files of all this info to make a proper map of.

6 years ago | Likes 85 Dislikes 0

G.I.S rules.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Check out datashader!

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There should be information publically available from ESRI regarding global census data which this is prob taken from

6 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Hello map friends!

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

USGS and data.gov ftw. Where my GIS Peeps at? Gimme lat lng.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Nah - Go for the open street map data.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I want this but in separate photos in high resolution.

6 years ago | Likes 156 Dislikes 1

There is some sort of map porn subreddit, that might be a good place to start.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

sounds like a job for google

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You could download tha data from Open Street Map and make your own to extremely high resolution (even 1:1, but you'll need a lot of paper)

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Ooh and then I want to overlay them for correlation. Mmmmmm

Crazy how all the sea ports are closer to the ocean, what a trip

6 years ago | Likes 1553 Dislikes 6

crazy how nature do that

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

there's a seaport in idaho

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I am shocked by the amount of airports.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did they name it the sea because it’s so close to sea ports?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was waiting for this response or one like it. "Some idiot is going to ask why there are no seaports in the middle." Is what I expected tho

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What’s interesting are the ones that aren’t.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The Great Lakes are lit tho.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Lit af bro

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yep, notice how there are no airports in the oceans, there’s no air there

6 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

There will be when the Chinese get done.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The British sank them in the great revolutionary war

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

It's because the continental army took them over and destroyed them.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Can you explain the two seaports in the middle of the US? Unless I missed something and it's now the Mississippi Sea..

6 years ago | Likes 111 Dislikes 4

Just planning for the future

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or a bunch in South America

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Pascagoula, Mississippi is one of the largest commercial port cities of America

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The coast of china looks off as well, but harder to place the issue

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oklahoma boasts the furthest inland port in the United States. The Port of Catoosa.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I guess they mean major inland ports that ship from river to sea. Mississippi River is a major shipping lane. See South America for same.

6 years ago | Likes 149 Dislikes 0

West Virginia has a Navy Base, but I doubt they are counting it.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

(I was just being silly with my comment because it said SEAport)

6 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 6
