Gorgeous truck. C-10's are exploding in value, especially the short beds. Ignore all haters. You're sitting on a lil' pile of gold.

Not bad, my friend.

Nice! Love a square body

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Wish I could afford that. There is a decent one for sale here for 25k.

My friend had a truck just like that. Got in an accident, other car was totaled and his truck got a small dent. That's it.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I can hear it just by looking. Smooth

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh man. My dream truck when I was 14. Dream car was '86 cutlass.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Holy shit, a square body on the front page?! Damn, what a good looking truck! I love the short beds with the 5 spokes. Classic badass

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Absolutely beautiful, nice work. I used to have one of these and I still regret selling it.

That's a lot of black paint on old steel, its a bold move cotton, glad it paid off.

I'm not a huge fan of the rims but it's still gorgeous. Bought or built?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Bought the stock truck and did all of the work.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

@OP Oh hey its the muscletruck before it became 11703 colors... Does it make the broombroom noises?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I used to have an 84. Had a similar look as yours except navy blue, and rally wheels. Loved that truck.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

350, 400 or 454?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

408 for life

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ls7 I hope

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

PO replaced the original 305 with 350. My plan is for an LS motor in the future.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What can it do for a quarter mile, or is it just your car

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just... why?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because I can.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I hate what you did, but I like your answer and the truck is beautiful, so you got my upvote. ????

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What do you hate, just the wheels & tires?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is this what Americans call a truck?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a fancy Ute.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What would you call it?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A ute.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah, an Aussie. Ok, so in America we call anything with a box bed a truck. A ute (SUV here) is a full cab (i.e. Land Rover). It's a big ute.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A truck is big, bigger than a ute. You want more confusing, ask the UK, trucks and lorries are different things to them.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I never understood lowering trucks but hey, you do you man.

9 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 7

Handles better. But really the main reason is because it looks better.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I can understand the handling, but it looks awful... perhaps I'm just used to roads that would kill lowered cars though...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

OPs truck definitely looks good. I just never understood lowered trucks. But mine is 4x4 and I actually use it on a regular basis.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, it just seems contrary to the purpose of a truck. But that's me.

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 3

Lower deck is easier to load into.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Your problem is assuming everyone drives trough corn fields. Nothing wrong making a truck handle better on paved road if that's all you use.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 3

A lowered 2wd short bed 1/2 ton seems more practical than a jacked up 4x4 long bed crew cab 1 ton diesel. But that's just my opinion.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Depends on what your doing. City truck? Sure, but try hauling any respectable amount and you'll see why you want the large truck. 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The mass and wheelbase become a huge asset with larger loads.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well the trucks I just compared are both about worthless for actually hauling anything. But lets take two 1 tons, same cab and bed set up

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

One 2wd and lowered the other 4x4 and lifted. Now which of those two is better for hauling. My money is on the lowered 2wd. Air bag the rear

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

2WD trucks in general are like putting V6's in pony cars....why? but some look good when

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

right...like OP's

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

2wd is cheaper to get into and maintain. Also all other things being equal the 2wd will usually have a higher payload and towing capacity

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

And will ride and handle better. So the real question would be unless you need 4wd for regular snow or off road work why spend more for less

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

These chevy's just beg to be slammed. Dodges on the other hand are made to be jacked sky high.

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 6

Why?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Asking the really important questions.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

:) Trying to understand why a Chevy "begs to be slammed"

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I took it as chevys don't look too horrible lowered, but lowering a dodge dakota, is like putting 22s on a cutlass.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The body lines on these, and most generations of Chevy trucks, look good dropped or lifted. Most Ford and Dodge trucks look good lifted but

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Not lowered.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Of course this is all personal preference
