The perks of working in IT. We have got floors beneath our floors.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Having a tile puller means always having handy hiding places for ... stuff. (blankets & pillows, beer, food, private coffee stash)

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I got mine 11 months ago and haven't used it in 10 months. This makes me feel like a piece of shit :(

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ooo! What's that noise? It's the sound of a fuckin reeepooost

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I call bullshit

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

Guessing you work in a Data center?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also good place to nap.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That really does look like a good alternative.

9 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 5

Exactly what I was thinking. Saw this a few months ago.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

@OP is a big fat phoney

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

I modded my cubicle for a standing desk a week ago. I actually find it more pleasant than sitting

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Honest question: can you get in trouble for that /did you?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

No. Because OP is reposting something from November.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

F*ck the po-lice

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Hey mr. 3-screens-stands-at-desk, I bet you have a nut allergy that handicaps office baked good runs too. I can't eyeroll hard enough.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 13

Hey, I have three monitors on my standing desk. And you still have no nuts. You don't need any for hating on the internet.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Looks like there's a mole in company

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

it's spelled hole and it's in the floor not the whole company

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Standing desks aren't actually healthier. Actually, standing like that for extended periods can be even more harmful than sitting.

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but sitting for nearly 12 hours a day is the reason so many people have lower back and cervical spine issues. Need moderation.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's not even about the pain, but the fact that you're 5x more likely to develop heart disease.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

oi shit head, you're fucking with the cooling system by removing the tiles.

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 4

Found the fridgie!

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

That's actually an old server room, the removable floor aids in running cables

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

While we don't know their office, this could be true. We have a lot of false-floors and it's all wires, nothing to do with cooling.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well, if this is anything like my old office, that's a security violation right there. I would do it too. Raised floors ftw!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is fucking genius. Simple. Genius.

At least where you work they call it "Human resources". Where I work at they call it "Perishable resources".

If a medical physician states you need one (sleep doctors can even do this) HR generally obliges.

9 years ago | Likes 614 Dislikes 3

Not mine! But only to me, not other staff... I'd like to say some choice words but I'm afraid she'll find this comment and fire me over it

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I miss living in a developed country with laws that protect employees.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Fuckin' eh right Imma goddamn doctor! A Canadian doctor. So...you know...do your calisthenics eh? You lazy cunt. Sorry. Sorry about that.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

They can still make it difficult. My last job would only allow sit/stand electronic desks ($3k) & required ergonomic training to approve.

9 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

Varidesk.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I tried this even though I already had a SD and wanted it moved. HR played 20 questions with my doc's office. I gave up and moved it myself.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

My employee brought me a DR note. I forwarded to HR. we used money out if our budget, bought her a desk. Installed 1 week later.

Everyone needs one. If you don't already have back problems, you will

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The best part is a lot of time standing desks prevent back issues.

9 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 1

True. I have gout and a bad back so I'm totally fucked.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But feet hurt!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Unless you stand wrong. Like me.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

My spine is still probably going to curve if I stand for long enough. I like chairs that force me to sit upright (my posture sucks)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have moderate scoliosis. Standing wont make your spine curve I promise. Sitting is much worse for your back. Especially the lumbar spine.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A medical physician as opposed to...?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

Many homeopathy businesses, healer businesses, exist. And people believe in them. I added legal language for specificity.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Without MD, they are NOT physicians. Legally or otherwise. Period. Homeopath=/=physician. or any of the others.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

Degree of alternative medicine is legally real even if about fictional nonsense.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not to mention leaving off DO (kool aide drinking or not) entirely. Or PA, NP, APN, etc. All are legal semi-autonomous in some states.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not to mention leaving off DO (kool aide drinking or not) entirely. Or PA, NP, etc.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

DO is MD. Psych is MD . Nurse is medical worker. Anything else claiming healing knowledge or powers is quackery. Period. Good luck, see ya.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

As much as this ought to be true, it's just not. For ex, the Texas definition: (17) Physician--A person licensed to practice medicine *c*

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

*c* by the Texas Medical Board under Texas Occupations Code, Chapter 152... . Many states license various quacks (naturopaths are big).

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can confirm. As a doctor I can make all kinds of ridiculous requests of employers. It's become a game to me. Plus your life is in my hands.

9 years ago | Likes 376 Dislikes 5

Prescribe me some vicodin and prometizine. Thanks.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Oh hey look, a dot.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Rectal tubes for everyone

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Would you write me an excuse for limo tint windows? The sun hurts my eyes, doc.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You sound like my kind of psycho :)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can you write me a prescription for sex with my girlfriend, you know, for like mental health reasons or something like that?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The phrases "it's become a game to me" and "your lige is my hands" really shouldn't be in the same area.

9 years ago | Likes 82 Dislikes 4

Yeah it should lol I'm hiring her rn

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I like you.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1
