Stan Lee: the ultimate easter egg hunter, collecting movie appearances like Pokémon cards, proving legends never retire, just upgrade their cameo game.

It was a genius move to have him play the strip club DJ in Deadpool. That movie got more things right than it deserved to.

Where's the Princess Diaries cameo? By far the most impressive.

And in Eureka. A gamma radiation specialist

In the comics, Stan Lee & Jack Kirby is the "One Above All" who is the Creator/God of the Marvel Universe(s), so I would lean more that way.

I saw "Teen Titans Go to the Movies" after he died, and that cameo hurt the most. Terrible day for rain.

6 years ago | Likes 107 Dislikes 1

But it’s not raining…

Really great move of appreciation by DC.

6 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

The opening to captain marvel tugs all the heartstrings

6 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 2

He is not though

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

And he doesn’t even play the same character every time...

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I miss him, a lot.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Same... saw one of the later Marvel movies and almost cried when I saw “For Stan” or whatever it said. :(

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I had forgotten he was gone. He still feels close. Darn you

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The best part about his Captain Marvel cameo was him reading the Mallrats screenplay, which he cameo'd in the year after CM is set!

6 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I heard that he is "The one above all".

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He also narrated the introduction for the PS1 Spider-Man game. It was really cool to hear him excited over the story we were about to see.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No love for “Mallrats”?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And as “himself” in Mallrats.

6 years ago | Likes 395 Dislikes 1

Also himself in a couple episodes of TBBT. Not sure if TV counts here, but there it is.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"what, the bras?"

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

“Tell em’ Steve Dave!”

6 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

You’re both banned.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fuck you, fanboy!

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He was also himself in Captain Marvel, on a bus, on his way to the Mall Rats shoot, Practicing his lines for the Mallrats cameo. Genius.

6 years ago | Likes 163 Dislikes 0

*PLOT TWIST* Stan Lee has been the Watcher the whole time, even when he appeared in Mallrats.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Kevin Smith posted a video of himself in tears after watching that.

6 years ago | Likes 63 Dislikes 0

Didn't notice that until my second watching. Never saw Mallrats, but knew he appeared in it.

6 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

And the soundbite is actually from one of the alternate takes from Mallrats, since his Cap.M cameo was filmed on one of his off days,.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

What about the One above all

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I tend to prefer that interpretation myself as well since it's more in line with him. Behind the scenes, but always there when you need him

Spiderman PS4: https://www.gamerevolution.com/assets/uploads/2018/09/stan-lee-640.jpg

I enjoyed that cameo

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yeah, I also enjoyed that easter egg of the PS4 game in Far from home :)

Fun trivia: Stan Lee is the most successful actor in history, based on the box office take of films he has appeared in.

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

i thought it was samuel l jackson

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If you go by actual starring roles, rather than fun cameos, then I believe you are correct.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

God bless whoever included Big Hero 6 in this.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This post made me both happy and sad

6 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 1

I just hope Hollywood has captured enough clips of him to videomagic into future films

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't want him in future films beyond something like a mural or a poster and stuff, maybe even a memorial

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Ugh, I still hate this guy's Penny comic.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

He still probably doesn't give a shit.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So he missed X2 and Days of Future Past. Any others?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Still my all-time favorite Stan Lee cameo: https://imgur.com/BxfNw90

6 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

At least 2 cameos in the comments that the post missed. We need to go deeper, the list must be complete. Or not, I'm not doing it.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Pretty tough talk for someone with the username 'NoForethought'.... ;-) You sure you want to call someone out for not planning ahead?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I don't think he really thought about it

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also in the Spiderman PS4 game.

6 years ago | Likes 222 Dislikes 2

And in Lego Marvel Superheroes he appears in literally every level.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"I'm the king of cameos!"

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I really liked that cameo

6 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 0

It was so good. "You two always were my favorites." Goddamn.

6 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Spiderman PS1 game as a voice

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

"Greetings, True Believers!"

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As well In the end of the Spiderman cartoon

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Spiderman ride in universal (FL) too, right at the end.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He had a poster in dp2 also

6 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

And he was in that teaser trainer for DP2 as well

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

So, just curious, what was his last cameo? Not by release date, but when he recorded it.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Im pretty sure i saw him in spider man far from home

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You are mistaken.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If there is any justice in the world, it's one where he picks up Mjolnir, dusts under it, and puts it back, & we just haven't seen it yet

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Due to his declining health, his later mcu cameos (after civil war) were filmed back to back.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Except in GOTG2 he's talking TO the watchers, not one of them

6 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 3

Doesn't he also say "well, that time I was a..." after being "rudely interrupted"?

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Uatu was often beefed at by the other Watchers for slipping in a little interference here and there. So that convo could make perfect sense.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

A LITTLE? Uatu is a terrible Watcher.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Iron Man 3 pic does not look like Stan Lee at all

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's a screenshot from a very questionable frame yes. The one I object to is The Gifted, looks nothing like him.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

forgot spider-verse

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

no they did not

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0
