Must admit going to bed last night I was worried, my town was on the list of targets, I had this Bangladeshi guy bring me some groceries using just eat yesterday evening and I felt the need to apologise to him for these people.
I'd had him before, lovely guy; first time he came to me he accidentally locked himself in the courtyard of my flatblock; which is an enclosed courtyard.
And he literally spent about 40 minutes wandering around looking for an exit before deciding he had no choice but 1/

My only gripe with Brighton is southerners make a big deal of its beach. And then you go and it's rocky, not sandy.

I suspect both the location and the politics played a factor in the choice. Racists aren't usually tolerant of LGBTQ+ either, and the right wing tabloids laid into a Green councillor heavily after he shouted "Allahu Akbar, this is a great win for the people of Gaza" after being elected. The EDL aren't looking to persuade the local populace, they are looking for a fight.

Went to school there during the millennium riots. The anti-fascist lot were not much better behaved back then sadly. I remember them torching the car dealers down on canal road, calling them "symbols of white capitalist oppression", while the Muslim owners looked on in bewilderment. Completely off topic yet somewhat related.I am in Colombia on vacation, sitting on the beach. Today this boat comes down the shoreline(way too close to the beach) waving flags for trump 2024, close the border, end immigration, and don’t tred on me. After 15minutes half a dozen jet skis are circling them getting close enough to slap the boat with their hands. After 10 minutes of me laughing my ass if they left yelling and swearing. I don’t think it dawned on them that here they are the immigrants
