Main website is CureTheGame.com

Play as a virus or even a nanobot and evolve to succeed

It uses real biology to determine how you evolve so you learn while you play without even trying

It even has multiplayer competitive play and tournaments where you can battle friends

C.U.R.E the Game

I needed this in my life, thanks @OP

I need this in my life. My favourite part of spore was the cell stage and this is basically a better version of that. YES!!!!!1111one

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Anyone know that game where you get infected with a virus and walk around and try to infect as few people as possible?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Reminds me alot of pandemic

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

that's fucking cool

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Agar.io

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I played the demo - haven't beaten it yet (pro tip - sulfur is really important). It was hard but I got better after a few fails. I had fun!

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Looks neat

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Isn't this like Pandemic? It's in the appstore and was a flash game way back in the day?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Nope, it is more like starcraft 2 and spore than pandemic (which I <3 pandemic, so I take that as a complement) http://imgur.com/bxEyKcS

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Was expecting "The mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell" to be top comment, didn't find and was disappointed!

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

Good but I still couldn't infect Madagascar.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I got that reference!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

TLDR science degrees and research are too expensive so they made a game so millions can be tricked into learning

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

*Evil laughter*

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean that's cool and all but can you cure me of the game I just fucking lost again.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

2nd time in 24 hours i've now lost the game. :|

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Damn, Agario's new graphics look good.

10 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 2

I wonder when they will create a game that makes you a sperms fighting to swim to and the fertilize the egg

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's called Leisure Suit Larry.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Finally! A game I can play on my lab work computer while still looking busy!!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lol I think that is one of the biggest compliments we have ever received. Thanks.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeaaah... I'll support when the game is done and if it is good.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

You can give the demo a try in the mean time for free to get a feel for where the game is going if you would like.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yea you know the way it is suppose to be developed

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Soooo the game is on a kickstarter clone with only 1 other game on the whole site... Called gamekicker.. Not sure what to feel

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The website is brand new, and we thought we would give it a try. They are just for indie games, and we liked that idea.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How does this compare to plague inc?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Seems like different genres. One is a strategy game (just setting up possibilities), and one is an RTS (think Starcraft but with viruses)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Huh ok. Interesting point. Already somewhat mastered plague inc so im excited to give this a go

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They're totally different.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why the hell administrative rights? They have nothing to do with computer to ask for them, it's just a game.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Plot twist: The cells your virus destroy are folders on your computer.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

We are working on removing the admin rights issue. Hopefully in the next few patches it will be gone.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you don't install drivers or services, and the user selected other folder than program files - you never needed them in the first place.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This seems like Badware. The demo is garbage, it showcases nothing, hell even magnesium and calcium are mixed up.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have an error saying I dont have admin rights

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Downloaded the Demo. I'm stuck on the Launcher. Doesn't let me play and the loading bar doesn't do anything either. Can anyone help me?

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Same here, followed these directions but didn't work for me (1/2, link too long)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Having this same problem, any fixes?

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Time to see if I can get this running on Linux...

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Apparently not. Mono doesn't understand any of it, and there's a lot of text missing under wine

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Damn, was wondering if Mono would work with it - what's the problem?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just doesn't recognise the assembly

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We hope to eventually release the game directly to Linux

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Awesome! I look forward to it :o

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The learning curve in the demo is real.

10 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

That's evolution for you: LEARN OR DIE

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Adaptation*

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

right? absolutely no direction at all. Just "kill the enemy".

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I managed to get some glucose and make a bunch of soldiers. But i couldn't figure out how to get them to attack, they died and i Alt F4.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I swam around, found some stuff "this isn't in the game yet" oh okay. Found some stuff, right clicked some other stuff, found enemy, quit.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Well i better try it out before there site goes down

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

it's already down, can't install it :\

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Hey one of the devs here. Could you tell me a little bit about the problem?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How the heck do you run the demo? The launcher sits, with a non-mobile progress bar and a greyed out play button ran and installed as admin.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yah... i cant dl it either. shame

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hey one of the dev's here . Could you explain the problem please?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sure. it lets me DL the installer, then gives me a message "must run as admin" ect. (i am admin of my own pc). open in folder -> 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

--> Run as admin. then the installer just kind of. stays at 0%.. or rather does not make it to 0%. give me a sec ill screen cap

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

if you find a cure for this bug let me know. id love to play =P

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hey post on our community forums on our website, and we will send you a direct download so you will not need the installer.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

http://imgur.com/QmUG26y heres the screen cap

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sorry for the trouble we will try to fix this issue.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

THESE ARE THE GAMES I WANT AND WILL PAY GOOD MONEY FOR! ok, capslock off...

10 years ago | Likes 76 Dislikes 4

Looks like a 3d version of Agar.io

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

CURE Dev here. Thanks for your awesome energy. You should check out our Game Kicker campaign.

10 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

What really makes this game cool is using real science to evolve.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

damn is it just me being unable to win the first stage of demo or is it extremly difficult?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I would personally like to see this on Steam.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

We currently are running a steam greenlight campaign We would love your support.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

How about GOG! I'd buy it there in an instant.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Any plans to bring CURE to other platforms?

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Right now the plan is to release for PC. We are going to be asking the community what they would like. So we are open to suggestions.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I mean I'd be ecstatic if you guys ever supported Linux. AFAIK Linux doesn't have a game like this yet.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

THIS IS EXCITING! My fave game when I was younger was EVO Evolution (SN). In Cure, how far along can you evolve??? Love this!!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I loved that game! I still play it on an emulator about once a year

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Why does CURE need admin privileges to install?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

We are trying to fix this issue, and it should be fixed in the next couple of patches.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I think it's because its a hand built installer and the computer is quite frankly suspicious of it, so you have to show it who's boss.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm not kidding, this is a simplistic representation of whats happening.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Then it's quite frankly broken, as the installer didn't do anything. I had to grab the torrent myself.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Plot twist; it get progressively more difficult to the point that a gamer called "blazin_weed_69" cures cancer.

10 years ago | Likes 1875 Dislikes 3

hahahaha

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think you mean "Pot twist" hahahaha, God I'm lonely.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Weedman always comes to the rescue

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I could see that bring where things head

10 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 1

Being*

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Plot twist:the game is designed to cure multiple diseases and when we play we are doing the scientists work for them

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wouldn't it be cool if this hole game was an experiment to see if dedicated gamer completionist could cure real diseases. y

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

y'know with out knowing it. So they wouldn't feel any pressure at all while playing.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Basically Stargate Universe then?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't want to live in a world where this isn't a possibility.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

If someone cures cancer ingame, can it be used in real life?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It should've been xXblazin_weed_69Xx .

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Nah its on PC there usually arenðt alot of names like that on PC

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There actually IS a game where people have achieved important medical discoveries. I just can't exactly remember what you do or its name...

10 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

fold it?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cards for Humanity

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I believe it's a project for mapping out DNA sequences or Genomes... you connect bits and pieces and it's all put in a database to match up

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Yeah, that rings some bells in my head. I believe you're right.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Agario

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

definitely not what you're talking about but does anybody remember this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corrupted_Blood_incident

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That was a neat read.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I didn't even know about it. Good read, thanks!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Foldit is probably the game you're thinking about. There's also Folding@Home but that's a collaborative computing project.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sauce: https://fold.it/porta">ortal/">https://fold.it/portal/ , https://folding.stanford.edu/

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I got that running on 2 boxes, 770GTX and a 970GTX 2x SLI rig. Curing Alzheimer's and heating my room.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think you're talking about Foldit. It's a game where you fold proteins and a couple of discoveries have actually been made through it.

10 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 0

There was a protein that was studied for decades and gamers solved it in weeks.

10 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Yep, it was a protein impirtsnt for HIV replication, I believe

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I recall some TV show used this as a plot in one of their episodes.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Really? That would of been interesting

Are cheetos the staple snack of American gamer addicts?

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

It's mostly just a joke that people who game are just people stuck in their moms basements who do nothing but eat Cheetos and game all day

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Doritos are more common, however the cheetos will destroy everything they touch. Including shirts and favorite keyboards.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cheetoes are used for a joke, because it's the handheld snack in a bag that's most likely to stain everything you touch.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Everything and anything within reach is the staple snack of American gamer addicts.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Except fruits ... Ewww MOOOOOOM! More hotpockets! And bring me a pot, I need to take a dump but I'm in a HFC 25m mythic raid

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I prefer Fritos, but are they not where you're from?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm sure I could get them here...but they're not popular. Try a bag of Tayto...change your life ha

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'll check 'em out! Thanks!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That is sort of the plot to Enders Game but with spaceships and children committing genocide. I love that book.

10 years ago | Likes 99 Dislikes 0

Did you read the ones that come after it though?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I did indeed.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Me too!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

YOU MEAN ITS NOT JUST A GAME!?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Best twist ever

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

My favorite book, but the movie was just insulting

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I got to see what they did to Starship Troopers. You don't get to call the Ender's Game movie insulting.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Honestly with those two movies specifically, I judge them independent of the books, and when I do that I think they're fucking awesome.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No, see, Starship Troopers was fail. I read the book years later, independent of the movie. "WHY ARE THEY USING PUSSY 5.56 ON GIANT BUGS?"

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The actor choice was on point tho

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No it wasn't. Ender was supposed to be the smallest so he would be the underdog the reader could root for

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Petra was supposed to be a tough badass and they cast the girliest girl they could find and they forced a romance (3/4)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2 good casts: Harrison Ford and the guy who played Bonso. I fucking loved Rico (4/4)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No I really like the acting cast. Granted it wasn't perfect I think most of it was the writer's fault. If the actor for ender was (1/2)

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Instead, he's the tallest making him look more like a bully fighting the short guy. (2/3)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0
