*do this if you need to feel accepted.

I mentally work out.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Bend this spoon with your thoughts!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like the little smiles at the rests :)

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

You want rock hard abs in 12 minutes? Swallow a bag of cement. Otherwise, fuck off and learn some discipline.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I'm fairly certain the 12 minutes part refers to how long this exercise takes each day.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

If your body fat percentage isn't somewhere around 11-12 this is a bit irrelevant

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

In 12 minutes? Who knew it was so easy? Stupid fucking post, fuck you OP and fuck whoever made this.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

I prefer "Freedom Twists" over "Russian Twists"

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Step one: quit drinking

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

To busy eating cookies.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

None of these fucking work godammit

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Abs are made in the kitchen

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They aren't to lose weight. They're to develop core strength. To lose weight you need to clean up the diet (for life) and lift heavy things.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They do, but overtime, not in 12 minutes as advertised.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

TL;DR : Place doritos on fan from a string. Lay on floor and try to grab them without getting up

9 years ago | Likes 79 Dislikes 1

Yay there is someone in the world that gets me. Up vote

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

As someone who's biggest drive to improve comes from smash bros, my go to excercise is planking while playing 3DS. For glory timer's great.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I used to do pull-up during loading screens in games. Ever since I've switched to PC gaming though... the loading screens are gone :D... :(

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Alternative then. Find your limit, push yourself as far as you can, then divide by five. Watch an entire anime series doing that between eps

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Doing push ups like that every day through summer a few years back, I dropped a Tshirt size.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Shut down your computer each day, then exercise during Windows boot screens. ;) Unless you use SD cards for your OS :(

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've got a SSD :/

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You can't spot reduce... eat less get abs. Stop posting this crap!

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

Read this as "eat less abs"

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Please don't eat my abs either!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But there's nothing wrong with wanting a stronger core!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Absolutely not. But misleading posts help no one.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But can this work for a man who is pudgy?

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

I was never good at yoga and i found a bunch of instruction videos. kept going at my own pace and now im able to do the moves correctly.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Everyone has abs. Just have to lose enough flab to see them.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

they'll be rock hard, yes but actually seeing them is another subject.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

..sort of. You'll strengthen the muscles below, but if you have a layer of fat, it'll be hard to see the results. Higher cardio.. (1/2)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Regimens to raise your heart rate will burn body fat, like running, swimming, or low resistance hi-repetition strength training to trim

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Does chilli eating count?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Gotta eat to recover. part protein. lots of carbs to restore energy. and 10 parts delicious

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Down excess body fat.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Instructions unclear. Cat is on fire.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Planks?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well i have diferent ways to get hard

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm at McDonald's, eating a dbl cheeseburger with large fries and Fanta.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lies! It took me 12 minutes to read this and im still fat.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Anyone else heard the term abs are made in the kitchen? Cause its all about diet....everyone has abs its just hidden under a layer of fat

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have an idea...11 minute abs

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well, why not just do 10 minute abs? (please dont murder me and stuff me in your sleeping bag)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do these workout posts always make it to FP because we all favorite them and forget? Haha

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I feel like this is directed at the wrong crowd.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We get it. You cross fit. Now cross Fuck off

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yeah but what happens when someone makes 10 minute abs?

9 years ago | Likes 93 Dislikes 1

You'll still have time to disappoint their mother.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

7 MINUTE ABS! STEP INTO MY OFFICE. why? CAUSE YOU'RE FUCKIN FIRED!

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Thank you!!!!!!

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

In the early nineties there was a series called 8 minute ______. It started out as 8 minutes abs, but then expanded to butt and thighs.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Something something my thighs and butt expanded

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Then your abs will look 2 minutes better than theirs

9 years ago | Likes 75 Dislikes 0

And here i am doing an hour of high intensity lifting designed by a doctor for an hour! What a waste of my time.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

No! No, no, not 10! Nobody's comin' up with 10. Who works out in 10 minutes? You won't even get your heart goin, not even a mouse!

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

You can definitely work up a very good sweat in 10min.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Bruh. Just do 3 sets of 30 sit ups, and 3 sets of 30 leg lifts. 4 days a week. If you diet and work out normally, you don't need more 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

2/2 doing a shitload of ab workouts does nothing if you have a lot of fat on top of them... You just get strong and that you can't see.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Favorite and forget. Mostly cause of pizza.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

If you work to get big abs but don't eat really well, you'll just end up skinny-fat. Don't be like me.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Too late

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yep, you get what's basically a beer belly but going in at the sides, showing exactly where your abs would be.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is me at 25 :( I used to never have to worry about my sugar or fat intake before.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Abs tho

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Train to get rock hard abs, proper nutrition to actually see them.

9 years ago | Likes 486 Dislikes 1

Yeah training them hard will get you abs maybe 3% body fat higher. Which is still 20% lower than the ppl who do this are at.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I'm a 105+ weightlifter. My abs are as big as your biceps, but look like a beer gut.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

"Abs are made in the kitchen" as the saying goes

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thank you! Glad other people actually know this.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

+100

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's why all I care about is having big enough biceps and chest, that way people know you workout without having to see your abs

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Honestly, nutrition is about 90-95%+ of your physique. I spend about 2-3 hours exercising a week if that. But if my diet fails I do.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Exactly

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Amen. I'll take proper nutrition as the top priority, too. It just feels better long-term

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Yes! Spot-reducing is bullshit. And you won't see your abs until you're way low on body fat, no matter how hard you work them.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Any tips on what to eat and what not to??

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Eat fewer calories than you burn. Beyond that, just make sure it's a colorful variety of stuff with decent vitamins and minerals.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I could give you exact pointers if you told me about your daily nutrition..pm me if you like

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Can I bug you too? I am SO bad at eating, I eat TV dinners on almost a daily basis for my work lunch...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Of course! Feel free to PM me

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

ahh thank you, I will take you up on that!!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Got u fam. No carbs (rice, bread, grains), plenty of fats (meat, avocado, oils) with a moderate amount of protein. No sugars also yo

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yea! I seem to be getting the message of no carbs and sugars... cheers!! I appreciate it :)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Isnt part of it having a low enough body fat percentage

9 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 7

Yes. Fat mainly stores in front of your abs. Burn it to actually see them. Train to give them more definition, but some might not want that

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

That's why I included "proper nutrition"

9 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 1

Yep, your abs are made in the kitchen, and defined in the gym.

9 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 2

Preach +1

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I eat junk food and play video games all day, and my abs are visible as fuck, something tells me I dont deserve this blessing

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Nah, just enjoy your youth (even if it's just relative youth at this point).

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I am :)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Running will do more to show them than crunches will do to build them. Reeeeally wish I could run.

9 years ago | Likes 74 Dislikes 7

I don't do cardio I just lift faster. :) seriously though unless you really love doing cardio weightlifting is better or even hiit.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It all comes down to eating below your maintance. You could eat only burger king and go down, wouldnt be healthy, but would still work.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Running is garbage cardio. HIIT and circuits are way more effective.

Sprinters lift weights.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Any cardio is good cardio for non athletes.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Use a elliptical trainer/machine...will give you the benefits of running without the pounding/damage to your knees/hips & joints.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know your pain. I have to bike and its just not the same.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I use a heart rate monitor. I run, eventually I get a warning that too high but keep running for 60 seconds. Then rest a bit and repeat.+1

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I started only able to do 60-90s. now I'm up to about 10-15min b4 resting. Total workout ~40-60 minutes. Used to hate running, love it now

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

When you say running, do you mean jogging or actual sprinting? Or a bit faster than jogging? :P

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Usually I jog in one direction for about 5 km and then loop back for 2 km. Remaining 3km are the best HiiT I can with my remaining energy.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Most runners have higher body fat to muscle mass ratio than lifters, sprinters etc. Generally you need to be fit to run, not the other way

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Honestly if you do high rep sets of weightlifting with very little rest, you'll burn a lot of calories. I did this because I hate running.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Why with very little rest? The afterburner effect is what makes you burn calories, so the more you tear the muscle = more calories

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The afterburn effect works best with minimal rest. Ex: 10 reps incline db bench, 10 reps flat db bench, 10 reps decline db bench, THEN rest.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yeah but with very little rest you cant put in your maximum effort, so there is less tearing on the muscle

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same here, newbies google stronglifts 5x5.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

5x5 is for advanced lifters who can use proper form with super heavy weight. Beginners need way more volume to prevent injury.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bonus to lifting is that muscle you just built helps you burn more fat all the time. Also stronglifts 5x5 is the best

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

5x5 is better for advanced lifters. Super heavy weight and low rep ranges. Beginners need way more volume.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Where do you figure beginners need more volume? SL5X5 is a great beginners program. I've been on it for 4 months now. 1/?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I started at body weight on squats (couldnt do 3 sets) and 20lb bar on everything else. Hit 100lbs on Sq last week

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

this is not true.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

try focusing on muscle building i also lost 30lbs in two months and did less than 3hrs cardio total per week cause im lazy. It's still gone.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Same here

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Cardio is nothing compared to actually eating below maintance. Which I assume you did since you lost weight.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Actually I increased the amount of food I ate by about triple believe it or not...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I'm working within the limits of a neuro disorder and large breasts. Personally I don't care about the weight, I just wish I could run.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I tried to google a "cast iron bra" for you, but only found regular bras and cast iron brackets. Sorry.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Try cycling. I lost more weight riding my road bike than I ever did running. Like 30lb in two months and it stayed off.

9 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 1

That didn't work for me, I did a workout program and ate better. 20kg off.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How about swimming? Would that work?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nope. Triggers brain issues and lands me in the ER. Not sure if it's related to the water treatment or muscle use. Joys of disability.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And the boobs are still an issue. Bikini tops my size are about $200 each. There's plus-size stuff here, but not for reg size ribs.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

30 pounds in two months? Holy shit snacks! How often did you ride and how long?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Someone answer this Turtle's comment! I must know!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

One other possibly important detail, I was doing all my rides on PowerCranks to build running muscles while on the bike.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They are a training tool that separates the right and left leg, forces you to lift your legs on the backside of the pedal stroke.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Admittedly, with that, I cut out snacking, count calories (2000/day) and stopped drinking fizzy drinks completely. And drank green tea a lot

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

On top of that a few pushups and crunches in the mornings and evenings, but that's more to tone up than anything. Cycling is beast though

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well I cycle about 10k to work each day, and from about February to April this year I dropped from 97kg to 81kg.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was riding 3 times a week, tues thurs after work for ~1 hour around town. Sunday rides were 2-4 hours to the boonies and back.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Was also aqua jogging Saturday mornings for 1-2 hours and doing core work classes on Monday & Wednesday.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Cycling is also difficult for me. The position is no good because even with a compression bra my breasts are too heavy and damage my neck.

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 3

What about power walking? Go on a treadmill on a high incline and walk at a moderate speed. I do about 3.5mph. Helped to lose 40 pounds.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I walk a lot. That's why I'm not overweight. I'm not looking to lose weight. I'm just sick and wish I could do things when well enough

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

How about a recumbent bike? Way nicer ergonomics!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I can ride horses because the posture has to be soooooo perfect. But until I can get covered for a massive reduction I'm stuck.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

That sucks! I have a friend whose insurance wouldn't cover until she lost weight. She did, they still declined. It was mostly in the tits!

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

How about swimming? It's great cardio, very easy on your joints and good especially if you have neck and back pain. Gym works, too.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Maybe you could try talking to a bike fitter about the position. Not sure what can be done in your case, but I assume generally a more 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

upright position would be better. Different frames are made for different positions, but even then there are adjustment possibilities. 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0
