Eat fewer calories than you burn. Beyond that, just make sure it's a colorful variety of stuff with decent vitamins and minerals.

I use a heart rate monitor. I run, eventually I get a warning that too high but keep running for 60 seconds. Then rest a bit and repeat.+1

Why with very little rest? The afterburner effect is what makes you burn calories, so the more you tear the muscle = more calories
The afterburn effect works best with minimal rest. Ex: 10 reps incline db bench, 10 reps flat db bench, 10 reps decline db bench, THEN rest.

One other possibly important detail, I was doing all my rides on PowerCranks to build running muscles while on the bike.
They are a training tool that separates the right and left leg, forces you to lift your legs on the backside of the pedal stroke.

On top of that a few pushups and crunches in the mornings and evenings, but that's more to tone up than anything. Cycling is beast though
Well I cycle about 10k to work each day, and from about February to April this year I dropped from 97kg to 81kg.
I was riding 3 times a week, tues thurs after work for ~1 hour around town. Sunday rides were 2-4 hours to the boonies and back.
Was also aqua jogging Saturday mornings for 1-2 hours and doing core work classes on Monday & Wednesday.
Cycling is also difficult for me. The position is no good because even with a compression bra my breasts are too heavy and damage my neck.

What about power walking? Go on a treadmill on a high incline and walk at a moderate speed. I do about 3.5mph. Helped to lose 40 pounds.

Maybe you could try talking to a bike fitter about the position. Not sure what can be done in your case, but I assume generally a more 1/2
upright position would be better. Different frames are made for different positions, but even then there are adjustment possibilities. 2/2

One other possibly important detail, I was doing all my rides on PowerCranks to build running muscles while on the bike.

They are a training tool that separates the right and left leg, forces you to lift your legs on the backside of the pedal stroke.

Admittedly, with that, I cut out snacking, count calories (2000/day) and stopped drinking fizzy drinks completely. And drank green tea a lot

On top of that a few pushups and crunches in the mornings and evenings, but that's more to tone up than anything. Cycling is beast though

Well I cycle about 10k to work each day, and from about February to April this year I dropped from 97kg to 81kg.

I was riding 3 times a week, tues thurs after work for ~1 hour around town. Sunday rides were 2-4 hours to the boonies and back.

Was also aqua jogging Saturday mornings for 1-2 hours and doing core work classes on Monday & Wednesday.

Cycling is also difficult for me. The position is no good because even with a compression bra my breasts are too heavy and damage my neck.

What about power walking? Go on a treadmill on a high incline and walk at a moderate speed. I do about 3.5mph. Helped to lose 40 pounds.

I walk a lot. That's why I'm not overweight. I'm not looking to lose weight. I'm just sick and wish I could do things when well enough

I can ride horses because the posture has to be soooooo perfect. But until I can get covered for a massive reduction I'm stuck.

That sucks! I have a friend whose insurance wouldn't cover until she lost weight. She did, they still declined. It was mostly in the tits!

How about swimming? It's great cardio, very easy on your joints and good especially if you have neck and back pain. Gym works, too.

Maybe you could try talking to a bike fitter about the position. Not sure what can be done in your case, but I assume generally a more 1/2

upright position would be better. Different frames are made for different positions, but even then there are adjustment possibilities. 2/2
