Patch tattoos are a trip.

I have had my eye on these for a long time . But lack of money sucks

Many tattoos here - these must be crazy expensive (and probably pretty short lived) but look SOOO DAMN COOL

The next trend is stitching a patch to human skin

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Active people would get that caught on something all the time….

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That is mad rad. I need a dedicated metal head to make his skin his “patch jacket.”

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As someone who loves tattoos and embroidered patches, man, do I hate this kind of tattoo

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Are.. are they removable?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’ve never needed something so badly till right now!!!!

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Trip is a nice word

I got Hobbes:

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

That's really cool

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Bet that feels great after getting jab by the tattoo gun a million times

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Are these really stitched to the skin?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

NOPE

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Shit rots don't it

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Very cool

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How long would one of these bad boys take and how much?

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I paid $400 and took 2 hours to get mine about the same size as what's shown.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

that needed a moment

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Always wondered if you could graft a patch to your skin. Guess this would be the closest you could get.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

very cool

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Those are AMAZING. Love the last one.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Uncomfortable

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why can I see how this feels

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

thats not only really good work, but the clients healed well also.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

These creep me out for some reason.

3 years ago | Likes 83 Dislikes 2

Yeah I thought it was gross when the hands were "trying to pull the patch off"

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Seriously. It makes you imagine they stuck a needle through their skin a bunch of times.

3 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 0

3 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

For me it's the treads on the fringe. Bugs me that they can never be trimmed.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I am not a fan of tattoos, in general, but even I have to admire artwork so good, it appears to be stitched onto your skin! Great work!

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

How do this age?

3 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

Same as any other tattoo.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same rate as the person it’s on.

3 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

it do be like that

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The strands start to come loose and then thread fades with sun, it might also accumulate grime in the thread.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

one day at a time

3 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 0

not well. over time ink expands in the skin so all the fine lines that make this tattoo have the stitching effect will gradually fade

3 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 3

The person touching the first tattoo, they have zero pigment. Are they a vampire, albino, vampire albino?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

rubber glove

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ah, see it now, thanks.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

These are extremely well done. Wouldn't take much for these to be garbage, but they're damn fine.

3 years ago | Likes 125 Dislikes 1

There are only a very few artisis in the world that can do these properly.

3 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 1

I got one at C2E2 this year that I love. Guy has quite a few that are gorgeous on his instagram too.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't doubt it. That's a very difficult effect to achieve in a tattoo.

3 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

I love the little details like loose string. Fantastic!!! Appreciate the talent needed to do this level of quality!

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Funny because the loose string annoys me. Total respect for the skill and artistry but not that specific detail

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Think of when you rip a badge off a garment, little strings. See? ?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know that, I just don't like that particular detail. If I had a tat like that, I'd have it without the loose threads

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

While I love these I would be interested in seeing one a few years old to know how they fade

3 years ago | Likes 376 Dislikes 2

About the same as any tattoo.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

After about a decade or so I would get it touched up but with frayed threads along the edges.

3 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

White usually doesn't last long. It's goes kinda brownish.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And blow out… sad fact of ink, the canvas, the type of needle, and the artist

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I don’t know (or want to know) what kind of ink my budget tattoos were made from but they are over a decade old and are as dark ever.

3 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 1

Sausage theory in action

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mine are over 20 years old and also still very fresh looking. The powers of lotion and sunblock

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I took a deep look into myself and realized I'm way too fucking lazy for that shit, so good on ya. also thigh tattoos covered by shorts ftw

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hah yeah mine are in a good spot too - feet and back. Usually covered and low friction

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Do you have low level superpowers now?

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Yes. I can drink 400 mg of caffeine and still be tired.

3 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

v

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I can't have 10mg without feeling like I'll die. I should get tattooed.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm not an English spoken person, do you mean that your tattoos have not faded much over that amount of time? Thanks!

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Yes. That is what they meant. "As dark as ever" = "Looks about the same as when I got tattooed"

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Thank you and yes this is what I meant

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

With the new inks. And methods of tatting and proper care they'll shine for 7 yrs before fading starts.

3 years ago | Likes 139 Dislikes 4

You say that as if that's a long time.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

So I guess I'll come about 5 years short of the 7 year itch before I get "itchy" (in this case...I mean basically all cases) tired of it.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Any particular brand/type of ink I should request/ask for? Thanks!

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

You wont, the artist uses the machines/inks they personally have preference for, everyone is different, and the equipment normally comes 1/2

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

out of their own pocket, so its their money being used to buy the products they use.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

MRI tech here, Do Not Get ink with metallic particles. There is a chance of capturing RF energy and burning your skin during an exam.

3 years ago | Likes 88 Dislikes 3

How long you been a tech? 20 yrs my end. Only one tattoo issue, eyelid permanent make up done overseas. Only worked 1.5 and under though...

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

MRI 20 years, now retired. Before that 10yr diagnostic, CT, Angio, Special procedures. All but US.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

didn't Mythbusters bust this myth?

3 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

Not sure how. Trade journals and books show images of limbs burned.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

First season mythbusters had dubious methodologies, at the best of times.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yes they did...

3 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Like in their first season

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

The women who won’t admit they have permanent makeup are usually the funniest. ‘You will burn…’ ‘wh-what?’ Muwahahahaaa

3 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 0

Permanent makeup? I didn't know such a thing existed

3 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

My aunt has alopecia, so she has her eyebrows as permanent makeup/tattooed

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

a relative got tattooed lipstick in case she forgets to put the real stuff on... not even a nice color on her imo but i kept my mouth shut
