Thank god to kept the rebel fenders. I had one like that for about 1 month 4speed manual gear box... It wanted to tear off everything.

Needs a rifle in the cab to complete the build. Great choice of colour. Good memories to keep

How much did the restoration cost if you don't mind me asking?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

We are in it for about 8k so far. Most of it in the paint.

I really liked the brown color but still a pretty cool restauration. Congrats op

Now come do my 67

Beautiful! Way to include you kid, too! - I learned soooo much just holding a flashlight for my dad!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That colour choice is perfect!

Howdy from Duncan, Ok! Great work.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well done. They don't make them like that anymore.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You're right, they make them a lot better and safer! https://youtu.be/C_r5UJrxcck @Op. It's still an awesome restoration job though!

nice!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Usually I am against painting the vehicle a different color than the VIN states but that is a very nice blue.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Looks good man! A little routine maintenance and that truck will last forever. Keep them old blue ovals goin!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Would look heaps better lowered.. depends on how you want to use it I guess. Nice work so far!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

Did you paint that in your own garage? That's sick!

8 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

Looking great so far!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Careful with the windshield. I've made a terrible mistake painting before taking the old glass out.

Oh yea those chrome moldings are a lot of fun!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You better rechrome those bumpers. Also, I wonder how a synthetic board would work in the bed.

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Chroming is really expensive. Guy I know did a little 3 x 20 inch bumper, 700$ total.

Little bit of coke and a brillo-pad should work. Also, CLR will take any hard water deposits off. Rock on!

Rustoleum. I am not a professional.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Rust-eze!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Alright @op fess up, how much of those interior pieces had to be glued back on because the clip holders broke during removal.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Probably none, since the clips pretty much always broke before the holders did.

Beautiful. But it's still a Ford.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

tttttrrrrrruuuuueeeee

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Which is why it's beautiful.

Ford made some beautiful cars, but there's a reason they're referred to as Found On Road Dead. ;) First car was a '67 Mustang - I miss it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mostly because people forget it really stands for First On Race Day.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looking awesome! Any plans for the drivetrain?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Original 300 cid motor still runs well. Haven't really delved under the hood other than battery, fluids, and a good cleaning.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

300 is a great first for your son. Good on fuel and will take abuse, and not have the power to tare up the truck

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks great! Sons first car?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, he's going to drive a beater first while he learns and get these keys at graduation.
