Quasi-finished product first. A shot down what will become the plaza.

#lego #legofriends #legocity #modular #moc

Left side - Heartlake Hospital, Butterfly Beauty Shop, and 40305 LEGO Brand Store

Right side - Heartlake Frozen Yogurt shop, Modular Sweet Surprises, Andrea's Accessory Store, and City Park Cafe

I think this is actually closer to the end of the build, but here are the instructions for sets that I added or used for parts/minidolls, parts from those sets, and random bits of the builds. Oh, and a bag of trash.

Tiling the sidewalks and adding street features.

Building the actual plaza. I wanted to use the new Friends Heart boxes, but they weren't as big as I liked, and my wife suggested a uniform color scheme for the plaza.

Downtown Bakery, Juice Bar, Harley Quinn to the Rescue, and Heartlake Vet.

You can see Cinderella and Gus (ha!), while Jamine and Aladdin are hiding behind the flagpole. Arieal, meanwhile, has fallen and can't get up. (I forgot to fill the fountain with trans-light-blue dots)

Emma's Tourist stand, and the rear of the Pop Up Party Bus

General Mayhem is about to unload on an opponent.

Harley Quinn flies in the potato-quality background.

Ah, there's General Mayhem's target!

Street view in front of the hospital.

Ditto, with less potato.

Right side of the layout.

Happy trees! And man, my focus is off.

On the right, Emma's Art Cafe, Emma's Art Studio, Drifting Diner, and Heartlake Pet Shop.

You can see Batgirl flying in the upper right corner. I built the building modular style, with an open back, and they both managed to fall three times before I had enough clutch power connecting the different floors to suspend her on fishing line.

Snow White and her "dwarves" (aka Sewer Babies). Krypto is chasing down a Kryptomite in the top right corner, while Mulan trims the flowers with her katana.

In the back, you can see some of the havoc wreaked by the falling buildings.

Rapunzel in her tower, and a better shot of Snow White and dwarves.

Random plaza shot.

Rear view of Andrea's Park Performance.

Tiana talks to her prince while the Goblin King hides behind a tree.

Andrea's Park Performance, guest starring Liv.

Another random shot.

Man, I'm obsessed with those flowers, aren't I? The lampposts are light turquoise from Scala or Bellville sets, while the globes are actually white Finials from the same themes.

Trying to get some building detail in.

Sweet Mayhem can't park very well. Poor Henry.

As aerial as I can make it.

So many small city sets and polybags died in the making of this.

Park perfomance

I liked it so mch, I took it twice! (wtf, bbq?)

In my head cannon, Olivia is actually a mad scientist who cloned her four closest friends to populate Heartlake city. I have no idea why she changed races, though. I'm still trying to come up with something.

350 round tiles? Sure that will be enough. :/ (It wasn't - math is hard)

I threw a balloon light and a small flashing LED in the party bus, not that you can tell, so that they can get their disco on.

Different shot of the plaza. The ONLY reason that the center is raised is because I wanted the sewer babies popping up from under the tiles. Once I convert everything to the MILS system (eventually), it will probably be level with the street.

Remarkable! I love it so much!

Fantastic, first full town I have seen based on the mini-dolls in stead of just the mini figures! Great project!

I should clarify - I joined too late for last years LUG Bulk. This is all Bricklink and old-school parting out multiple sets.
