Gave us the best Kinder Kid.

now /tv/ just spends their time being angry towards interracial porn and jewish actors

Don't forget Boaty McBoatface!

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I thought that was a reddit thing?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not exclusively IIRC. 4chan was involved as well.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hitler and Mussolini both won Time’s person of the year so Kim Jong Un actually makes sense.

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

The reason is they aren't saying the person did anything good or bad. It's the person they deem had the biggest effect on the year.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And Stalin in 1939 and 1942. The person of the year is "for better or for worse... has done the most to influence the events of the year"

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Online poll has nothing to do with actual person of the year, so... That one is bullshit. Also, Obama was person of the year 2012.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah that one confused me since I never heard of them polling for that. But I didn’t care enough to actually check.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I love that the end goals were widely published online, and the media STILL FELL INTO THE TRAP. They ignored the caution tape and fell in.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The media didn't care if it was true or not. There was a story to run and money to be made.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

At the same time, falling into the clearly marked trap just makes them look foolish and even less trustworthy than before.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They MIGHT have. It could have been a coincidence

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'd like to imagine that even the Russians wouldn't just blindly do that. They've probably got the intel infrastructure to verify first.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's somewhat believable that they took the evidence from 4chan, and verified it. I truly hope we don't have airstrikes based on 4chan alone

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

4Chans founder looks precisely like the guy who would in fact be 4Chans founder. Youd just have to glipse him and be "Yup, thats him."

Moot is one lonely dude. He used to post on /soc/ all the time. Talked to him once. Went a expected.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Still is.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So he created his own antithesis. That seems like an accomplishment.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I mean honestly he was just a surprisingly normal weeb, like most 4chan users, just wanted to create an American chan site.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Bonus points being that he took most of 4chans initial userbase from the SomethingAwful subforum "Anime Death Tentacle Rape Whorehouse"

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I was part of that subforum...ah memories

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I'm not 100% sure what 4chan is, but I believe that he would be the founder

8 years ago | Likes 157 Dislikes 4

4chan is the internet version of boston

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

multiple boards where everyone can post anonymously and attach images to posts in a thread. Threads vanish if they aren't posted in often

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

so you tend to have a lot of moving discussion and nothing sticks around for too long (some boards are slower).

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Some of the boards are actually pretty neat, I used to hang out on /tg/ years ago and there were great projects back then.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

4chan is where you will find the extreme end of how being anonymous will make you brutality honest and often excessively racist

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

It doesn't make people that way. The anonymity just allows assholes and racists to spew hate without consequence.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

They also report acts of child and animal abuse. 4chan is a collective of people from around the world, it's no surprise they have a heart.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Not entirely by hatred, I'd say it's also fuelled by a lust for entertainment even if it is wrong

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You're confusing loathing and self deprecation with hatred.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I mean, isnt Tumblr fueled by hatred also?

8 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but with more gore, racism, and butthurt neck-beards

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Tumblr is fueled by self hatred more than anything. 4chan directs its hatred outward like ICBMs of misanthropy.

8 years ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 1

You have a wonderful way with words. ????

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

That is the best metaphor.

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Its the polar opposite of tumblr. Right-wing extreme vs. Left-wing extreme

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

So, it's more like evil & more evil twins?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm sure if you looked you'd find right-wingers on tumbler as well. And the right wing presence on 4chan is mostly /pol/ 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Just go cruise around on /b/. If it's still there, I pussed out years ago

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I was there in the early days of b. Fucked up place. But we had fun.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The only function of /b/ is to contain the entry level kids. It's not representative of the site as a whole and hasn't been for years 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

4chan has tons of marginally better boards to browse. If you like having a bad time, I recommend /pol/, /v/, or /a/.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

What's wrong with /a/? I frequent it and it's rather tame. /pol/ is another story though

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Greetings, cool kids. What do these '/' boards mean, and how would one access them?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0
