It looks pretty but it's a shame that copper turns your finger green

I promise to keep my butt hole waxed for you

Is it treated somehow, to keep the copper from oxidizing and turning the ring and your finger, green?

I use layers of renaissance wax to place a barrier between the skin and the metal

I should really get a lathe.

Do it! It’s extremely satisfying and rewarding :) #slavetothelathe

That's awesome for such a gorgeous product. In a few years when I'm not a student and have a bit more income, hopefully I can support

Excellent. @OP You should do guitar inlay work, you are very skilled

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thank you so much! I really do appreciate the compliment ^^ You’re tempting me to restore my old beat up guitar!

.

Wouldn't mind one. Question is if they damage or scratch easily.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I use layers of CA, micro mesh and T cut polish to prevent scratches and such

Thanks for the feedback. Just needed the assurance because I've destroyed multiple wedding bands already. I will look into purchasing.

Also do you take custom requests for a particular type of wood for the ring? Just curious.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I do custom work too, my new workshop will be opening soon so my range will also extend too titanium, stainless and Damascus steel

Im aware theyre hand made , but why do some go up to 100gbp? Dont downvote pls i just notice a lot of stuff is overpriced on etsy, 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Regardless of it being handmade or not. 2/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

2/2 I also wouldn’t want to under undercut and undervalue other craftsfolk and designers over on Etsy.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because of the time it takes it make, the cost of materials, rentals and bills. It’s also to keep at a current market price

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Is this your only source of income ? Im not being a pain but some stuff is too expensive for what it is

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It is my source of income yes, I keep my prices according to the current rates of other sellers on Etsy to keep everything fair 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The copper inserts are also melted down, purified and cast into ingot cylinders and then machined to size. It’s a long process. 2/2

If a knitted tea cozy is 100$+ I see your point, but a copper and semi precious stone inlay on a hand milled ring? 100$ is cheap.
