In most Jewish traditions, they don't want flowers for the funeral or the mourning family. Just as a heads up.

Never read this before. Powerful. True.
False - like - REALLY false xD
SoMuchPooPooSon
I mean, if you compare the amount of flowers a person receives over their lifetime, compared to once they die, this is demonstrably untrue.
ReasonablySorryButNotTooMuch
I mean, unless after I die people steal the flowers I bought myself that is unlikely to be true. :p

Never read it but the title is accurate af. People love Anne Frank because she's not still alive to be problematic to their views.

It really is weird there aren't really any other similar books, it seems statistically unlikely
There definitely are other memoirs from survivors, but there seem so few that are written in the moment
There probably are, but most of them were written by people who went on to survive. Ergo, less interesting to non-Jews.
I mean, when considering 6 million jews were murdered, and another 10+ million for other "faults" it seems surprising only 1 diary ended up
Being published like that, though I suppose it might be the only one that gained traction
Eridianne
In what fuckin universe do you think a 15 year old girl hiding from Nazis said that? Use your common sense
linexnewt
We have the internet, quick and easy to find out this is false. People are lazy and don't care about the truth. *downvote trash like this*

If you read her diary you wouldn't think she was 15/16. She was smarter than most 20 year olds.

Pebbles on gravestones, because they're eternal. I've heard other cultures do this too, so I doubt it's "our thing", but still.
No, but they are pretty common German and Dutch traditions, which is where she spend her formative years, she will have seen graveyards
Still this quote seems rather fake
