Winter among the acorns

This acorn had some creature living in it. Probably a weevil.

The squirrels found these. I love the little teeth-marks.

The oak tree the acorns fell from.

The only green comes from weeds; all the grass is dead right now. We don't get any snow around here, the grass just goes all brown and dead, the leaves fall, and it might get below freezing once or twice before spring arrives.

This flower was so amazingly tiny and delicate (sorry no banana)
