If I was a millionaire I'd by one. If I was a billionaire I'd by every single unit if they ever launched this model.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you were a millionaire, you'd buy like half of one. A multimillionaire could buy one, but may not be a multimillionaire anymore.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

why did you capitalize than

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

As much as I agree with your question, why didn't you capitalise the 'w' in 'why' and end with a question mark?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

because THAT'S not important

It's like a squashed bug

Well, VW learned the hard way from the Phaeton that too much VW design in the wrong segment can really harm your sales figures...

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The Phaeton was sort of a "Because we can" car. A lot of the work that went into designing it was transitioned into the Bentley Continental.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That was a disaster! An amazing car, that just looks like a Passat.

They used to build it in my city (Dresden) at the ultramodern "Gläserne Manufaktur" (Glassy Manufactory). They'll make the e-Golf there now.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Apparently they used to sell the Phaeton mostly to rich Chinese businessmen, though it was a financial failure nonetheless.

In 1945, Bugatti was still owned by Ettore Bugatti... a Frenchman. Though, not for long.

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

He died in 47 and they never really made many cars in the early 40's due to WWII which left them broke when the war ended

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yes, that's all very true. What isn't, is any connection (real or imagined) with Porsche during/anywhere near the time period.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It does resemble the original Porsche Speedster

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You mean the '53 550 Speedster prototype racer? Which Bugatti?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

356 A speedster, 1955-1959
