How much money would I have to throw at you for a suite of X-01?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Haha I'm not sure. Tree fiddy?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I ain't givin' you no tree-fitty, you goddamn Loch Ness Monster! Get your own goddamn money!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

140. Continuous. Days.

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

It would have been a lot faster if he printed frames and faceplates instead of whole parts. Would have been more modelling time though.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I'm just thinking of all the failed prints. My printer will come unstuck if you sneeze. :/

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah? Well I'll 3D print an Alpha Deathclaw and then your ass is toast

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

The hands could be bulked up a bit.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

X-1 Mk. VI scrub. Git gud.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh yeah? I bet you can't swim in it...

9 years ago | Likes 73 Dislikes 2

Don't need to. You can walk under the water and have unlimited oxygen

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So when I was doing the BoS ending of 4 I followed prime in the water and was immediately like "shit shit shit bad plan bad plan"

9 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 1

Aquagirl 1 for the win.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I still have a suit of T-45 in a pool of water under Dunwich Borers. Was so keen to get Kremvh's Tooth I forgot the damned suit cant swim.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Ever think of putting a jetpack on it?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That place creeped me the fuck out.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Holy hell 140 days of continuous printing!?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yup and I still have a weapon and a few small detail parts to finish printing :P

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just the 3 printers? How much of each one did you have to replace?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So far the belts on 1 twice.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Really cool and well done! Question though, thighs?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I might add the platings later but I found it was really killing my mobility--hence why I made a power armor frame for the thighs.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Take me man-meat!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Isn't that a tad bit too large. Even for power army.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Armour.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nah I double checked It's at scale (within a few inches) according FO4 reference materials I have.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Oh neat. Well gg

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I want to up vote twice. Once for your kick-ass power armor skills, and once for your awesome shirt.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Haha thanks, the shirt was made by my kickass maker buddy Beer Money Props.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ah ha! By replying I can now upvote you twice. Promise fulfilled!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I sided with the institute, but take my +1

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks synth :P

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How much money in total did it cost you?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Materials and printers were a bit over 2k

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

What model printer did you use? Did you use blender?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Preston Garvey needs to talk to you

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Does it make aiding nearby settlements any easier, or is that just hype?

9 years ago | Likes 199 Dislikes 1

I'll mark the location on your map.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Sadly hype. Now raiding settlements on the otherhand... :D

9 years ago | Likes 78 Dislikes 2

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Best part of Nuka World was a reduction in being bothered about this.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Instead you got Raider Preston to nag you about aiding raider outposts that're totally not settlements.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

No. All the raiders are dead. I just needed their help cleaning out the theme park. And wanted to see their quest lines

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Fair enough, I let them stick around. 'Really starting to regret it though.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

same in far harbour. finished it now i go to the Brotherhood and tell them bout some synths on an island in the North

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

and then you realize that was probably like $10k in filament

9 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

Not surprisingly, he has a sponsor for filament.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This was probably not the most economical way to do this.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

subtractive machining process on a foam block-->vacuum form thin plastic onto it. But no one would think it was cool because no 3d printer

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

That's how they've been making stormtrooper armor for decades. Maybe not quite as cool but still really cool.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This must have taken weeks and weeks of non-stop printing. Did you use ABS?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

140 continuous days :P

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wow. I wouldn't have had the patience. What was your infill?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

10% and 3 perimeters

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And PLA filament :D

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Awesome! :D

YYooooo, didn't I see you at DragonCon this yeah?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yep! But not in power armor--all I had was a vault suit and BoS combat armor.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Aah.

Ad Victoriam, Paladin ✊

9 years ago | Likes 57 Dislikes 2

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You guys can say that all you want, it won't bring your little blimp back. :)

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 2

Got the hang of the Railroad yet? Were just one big dysfunctional family... with guns!

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I've played at least 5 full play throughts of FO4, I've never not sided with the Brotherhood. I can't bring myself to do it.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Funny, I can't bring myself to side with them. The only time I did, I used the exploit that allowed the Railroad/Minutemen to live.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Only thing that bugs me is the proportions. Tiny hands, big shoulders. Small pelvis, big torso. But then again, this is fucking awesome!

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Haha yeah the hands are definitely getting a rework, the pelvis believe it or not is actually at scale. Might be my scrawny ass body tho

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Everything of the armor looks good except the hands, they're too straight and narrow, gotta be beefier like in-game. Otherwise 10/10

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The helmet's also far smaller than the in-game version.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was gonna say, you look a bit skinny, but that's such a bad ass armor creation. I guess it's time to grow into t.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think it's more so that the chest and shoulders are a bit larger, and the feet and legs are bigger, so it makes the waist look small.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, actually I think that's the thing.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ok so serious question...140 days, right? What if like...you have a power outage right in the middle of a huge section? Does it just 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

the printer was running for that long. look at the pics you'll see that there are sections of each part. It's done in pieces and glued.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Lol I get that. Printing that as one piece would be impossible, not to mention un-wearable.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not impossible, with the right printer. Google part daddy 3d printer

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

start back up from where it left off? Or are you at risk of losing large amounts of progress/material?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Alas it does not start up. Generally what I would end up doing is edit the file so it would startup where it left off.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

How do you weld them together?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Plastic welder and melt the seams together.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That sounds friggen tough.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do you think you could do Reinhardt's armor?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's a serious idea I am looking at next--or Bastion. :P

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Bastion would be sweet. Keep on doing what you're doing OP cause it's AWESOME!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks! :)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes please! I'll finish Widowmaker and we shall get awesome photos together! Maybe with booty shots? Hah

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Haha come to DragonCon and I'll have Sexy bunny Bastion for thursday. :P

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0
