That is the most hearwarming thing I've seen humans do in a while. This is just *adorable*. It so hard not to love Miss Ocasio-Cortez and Mr. Mamdani is a real winner as well.
Smart, capable, kind, and tough. Takes no BS. The fact that she is a smoke show is just a bonus. But yeah, would love to see her continue to be a positive factor for this shit government for decades to come.

I have always disagreed that AoC should run for president. Not because she wouldn't be awesome, but because she can be far more effective in Congress. As a role model, as a force on the floor, as a person who makes it clear that the dinosaurs need to go. That we need real progressives.

I think the lack of women at the top has more to do with gatekeeping in the major parties. Since she's the only candidate we've ever had with a realistic shot at winning the PM's chair through election it's hard to judge how Canadian voters feel about it.
