For anyone concerned with what is happening at the USPS and want to help.

First and foremost please contact your state and federal representatives and demand they take action. Contact info for your local reps can be found below.

5 Calls: DEMAND THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SUPPORT THE UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE https://5calls.org/issue/usps-postal-service-covid-funding

5 Calls: DEMAND AN INVESTIGATION OF CHANGES AT THE USPS

https://5calls.org/issue/usps-postal-service-mail-vote

Beyond That

Write to the USPS Board of Governors, they have the right to dismiss the Postmaster General at will and need some convincing to do so. Give it to them.

Few Notes Beforehand:

Please personalize your subject line and message in some small way. We want to be heard as individuals and not a spam bot, and also it is more difficult for them to create an auto block around.

Please forwards/share as much as possible

Please sign off with your personal info (concerned citizen part is optional), again we want to be taken seriously as citizens.

The references are there for you, but feel free to include if you feel it improves the message.

I searched as best I could to confirm these emails online. Apparently they do not have govt emails posted. Those with names and company domains were easier to confirm. If anyone has a correction or an official address please share.

Message: Subject - Save the Integrity of the USPS - Dismiss Louis Dejoy

Members of the USPS Board of Governors,

I write to you demanding that your body immediately dismiss Postmaster General Louis Dejoy for his gross and intentional mismanagement of the USPS.

He has violated his oath of office and federal law by intentionally disrupting the operations of the USPS in order to deprive the American public of their right to vote.

The Postal Service’s mission is to "provide the nation with reliable, affordable, universal mail service". As a concerned American citizen I demand that you uphold the integrity of the USPS as an American institution and end the naked political meddling by a corrupt Postmaster General and avoid being complicit in the committal of the following federal crimes

18 U.S. Code § 1701.Obstruction of mails generally Whoever knowingly and willfully obstructs or retards the passage of the mail, or any carrier or conveyance carrying the mail, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than six months, or both.

-A concerned American citizen

An account created in February with nothing but anti-trump posts. I’m a Dem and this posts stinks of propaganda

Whether or not the USPS is being sabotaged, this random pic of trucks being towed tells me approximately nothing. Trucks get towed sometimes

5 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 9

You see USPS trucks being taken away. I see a mailman doing double duty.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

These look like the new Mercedes vans that offices are starting to get. More likely a drop off than a tow away.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

if you can social distance while you wait in line at wal mart or the grocery store, you can social distance while you wait in line to vote

Hey I know.. let’s all panic before we know what’s going on

The USPS owns over 200,000 delivery vehicles (this class, under 3 ton.) They probably have hundreds towed every day, somewhere. >

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Without context, this photo is tinfoil hat level conspiracy.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Vehicle get moved around a lot like this. We are required to update mileage use daily for all postal vehicles. If not being used enough 1/

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They are sent to other offices where they are needed. Every route has its own vehicle.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Tow trucks take at least 2 mailtrucks from my office every single morning for routine stuff

5 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 3

Its already been debunked

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

(Cont) Contract is two tow them on a carrier (2 at a time) and at night when there is no traffic.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Lol, OMG I work at a Ram dealer and this is exactly how we pick up USPS truck to bring to service and drop off ones we've repaired. Chill!

5 years ago | Likes 122 Dislikes 7

Everyone assuming the worst. Not saying that the worst DOESNT HAPPEN, but ill say again, exaggeration and assumptions dont help any argument

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

As someone who is familiar with towing contracts. The USPS contract pays worse then auto clubs. The best way to make money at that (next)

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Not the main point, but as a taxpayer, I’m fucking livid for the wanton destruction of multi millions in equip for no reason. 1/

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

As a moderate conservative, the waste in money is fucking criminal. The entire enabling GOP needs to be strung up

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Uuuummm there are a lot of assumptions made in this post.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They're brand new. Probably being delivered. Ask these "fake" stories are making the real stories look fake. Stop!

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Can we investigate feinstein now for selling off post offices through her husbands company, which made over 300 mil off the deals.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I appreciate how much effort you put into this post.

5 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 10

It’s Donald T. trying to rig the election obviously

5 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 20

You fool! Trump doesn't exist. It's the aliens making there move. The only thing in their way is the USPS

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

This just doesn't check out. I suspect this is a photo of new trucks being delivered.

5 years ago | Likes 241 Dislikes 15

If they were being delivered, they would be on an 18 wheeler.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Or taken to be repaired. It happens all the time.

5 years ago | Likes 83 Dislikes 2

Right? Like all these post boxes just being taken away, probably all being repaired, at the same time.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Yeah. Even though there's some genuine fuckery at hand we can't assume every photo of postal stuff being relocated is nefarious. Go vote.

5 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

Suppose Trump wins in November. Will you accept the results? How will you determine whether they were legitimate or not?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

Crazy conspiracy theories are so hot on Imgur right now.

5 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 12

Is this a conspiracy theory when trump has told us all this is his plan during a press conference last week?

Especially USPS ones.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Release the the license plate numbers of the tow trucks and the release the names of the businesses who took the contracts.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Then...Release The Hounds!

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

There is no Sarno's Pizza on Prospect Ave in Los Angeles. That is all you need to know to evaluate the truth of this outrage-generating lie.

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 5

The context of the photo is extremely questionable, but you're also dead wrong here's the location.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I used Google Maps. Your photo could just be the same place! How about a link to proof, then I will 100% believe you and retract my statemen

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a screen cap from Google, address in the top left. The URL is in the next comment down because it was too long to fit.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How do we know its not a broken USPS truck?

5 years ago | Likes 865 Dislikes 29

Exactly. Context.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Yes, maybe USPS trucks are breaking down suddenly in blue states and very new looking mail boxes are requiring replacements but for some

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

reason not being replaced at this time. And it's not at all an indelicate time for USPS to be making these decisions.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

The photo is pretty irrelevant. USPS and Trump have both verified that there is on-going effort to hobble the USPS.

5 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 4

If photo is not true, people think that the whole thing is a lie.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It's not a USPS tow truck. USPS vehicle maintenance techs are also unionized and they do all of the moving as well.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I was watching protest live stream in Portland the other night and they ran up on the same thing three news trucks on two different trucks

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Mail trucks* but they were also in the dead of night and also looked brand new I guess mail trucks are just breaking down everywhere

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Trucks*

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Shhhh. You're killing the vibe.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Hiw many trucks are there in LA? 10,000? Gonna need a bigger tow truck...

5 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Where do you live where your trucks gets serviced so often? I'm jelly

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Can second this, but it happens at the post office near me around 1 AM instead. I work next to a post office @ restaurant that's open then.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This happens in Baltimore too. I used to park in the garage next to the facility. Again not saying that’s the case here, but could be.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was going to say, my mailman just got one of these. I’m all about supporting USPS but let’s be careful.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because its the federal government. If it was broken, it would sit in the parking lot for 10 yrs while someone figured out how to turn it in

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Don't think, panic. Panic now!

5 years ago | Likes 67 Dislikes 39

better to panic a bit and find out it was nothing than ignore it all and whoops, they successfully stole the election.

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 19

yeah, ignore the rest of the blatantly corrupt stuff going on at the USPS because this picture might be nothing.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

VOMA (Vehicle Operations for USPS) just servicing Promasters.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

That doesn't look like the USPS tow trucks I'm used to seeing. (Yes, the USPS has its own tow trucks.)

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Midwest uses contract companies to tow.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Better tell USPS in Indiana that. I see them regularly.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Those Ram Promasters are the biggest pieces of shit. I've towed them for engines falling out with 8 000 miles for christ's sake.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah, they weren't supposed to be mail trucks. They are supplementary vehicles until the new contract comes through.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

How does a fucking engine fall out? The engine mounting brackets had bolts whose nuts disappeared...

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also had them have transmissions fall out, and had a million of them high centered and wrecked in a ton of goofy ways

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

happened to me, mechanics replaced timing chain, removed engine to do so, overtorqued mounting bolts, hit bump, bolts snap!

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I work for Royal Mail, same shit different country

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Aye but multiple times on brand new vans?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What's interesting here is the current administration is so blatantly corrupt that just seeing a mail truck getting towed raises these ?s

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

And rightfully so. They are actively sabotaging the USPS in order to rig the elections. They’ve lost the right to benefit of the doubt.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not really the point. There's plenty of evidence of the efforts to disrupt the election by distorting the USPS. Don't get distracted.

5 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 17

OP made it the point by using this photo to head up the post and catch people's attention. This is why you shouldn't BS for a good cause.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

USPS has its own tow trucks.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Not where I live, local tow guy picks up thier broke down vehicles

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Except i can come up with some shit like their tow truck wasn't available in that region or driver got covid n subcontracted.basically ...

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I can keep lieing for benefit of doubt on every counter argument unless OP post source and context of the actual picture

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Typically towing 2 of them suggests otherwise..

5 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 41

Maybe they... uhh... Crashed into each other? Even though they don't have any body damage

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Postal service worker here...they put two or more all the time to take them to different offices after repair. Normally early morning hours

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Not necessarily. They could legitimately need servicing.

5 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

They might be replacements this is just a picture of a tow truck at a stop light we dont know where it is going or came from

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How does it sigg at that? Given the information available?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah I mean I dunno. Guess I need more context

5 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 2

It's impossible for 2 mail trucks to need repair at the same time and it's illogical to have them repaired at night when they are not in use

5 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 6

I think ya need a dictionary mate, ya might need to look up what impossible means

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I worked in a bus yard where we would have a dozen buses down at the same time. They worked on them at night to avoid service disruption.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

That's the point.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

fleet logistics say otherwise, multiple vehicles will breakdown/crash every week, the space and parts to repair are not alway available 1/

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

/2 you move the vehicles when the towing company has a truck, they transport to the regional repair shop when parts/space become available

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Think about how many trucks ups has... how many do you think might hit oil change within range of each other? Stop being goofy

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He was being sarcastic. That scenario he wrote down was extremely common and everyone with 2 brain cells to rub together knows it

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The scary thing is you really can’t tell anymore.... people have gotten that crazy

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ridiculous statement. We have the largest fleet of vehicles in the USA. They do this all the time. Early morning while they are not in use.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

because that doesn't fit the narrative

5 years ago | Likes 75 Dislikes 17

So.. instead.. panic?! I agree with you on this thou.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Damaging our cause through misinformation, these things are more tricky than they seem.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well Trump set the narrative when he said he's shutting down USPS, this photo and hundreds more like it fit the narrative perfectly.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

He didnt say anything of the sort. He just didnt want to give them EXTRA money

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Then why did he appoint a man who no administrative experience in package delivery and massive conflicts of interest who he's not stopping

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

obliterating the service?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Yeah. I think you're right. Trump may be dismantling the USPS but we shouldn't succumb to panic.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

USPS has been horrible. Why all the outrage now? This has been going on for 20 years

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

Yet suddenly thousands of small businesses are screwed out of affordable shipping options? Seems like USPS was doing something very well.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Outside of the long lines I legit have never had a problem with USPS.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Lived by a USPS repair facility for 5 years. They move them at night because that’s when they’re NOT IN USE! They need tune ups and stuff!

5 years ago | Likes 145 Dislikes 1

\A lot of tune ups and stuff. The trucks we use are from the 1970's\

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

you mean 80's, unless you have jeeps still. Grumman LLV was produced in late 80's and early 90's.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Think about what we do know, that our president is scamming us right now, let’s do something about it.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

I had a 2014 Dodge Ram 3500 in my shop for rear brakes. Truck looked brand new, but it had 500K miles on it. maybe they are getting serviced

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Considering the other shenanigans going on, the burden of proof is against this being a maintenance operation.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I think that costs money, that they don't have rn?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good question. Maybe we should call those phone numbers just to ask that question. Y'know, just to be sure.

5 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 23

It's possible, sure.

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Possibly: https://about.usps.com/news/statements/011516.htm Worth seeing if a pattern is emerging though beyond normal repairs

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Those vans are pieces of shit. I commented about towing them for engines falling out earlier

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Nope. No facts here. /s ?????? Username? Hmmmm. Nothing positive there. [LCD of speech. Self fulfilling?] ... Source of earlier comments?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Dont worry mate you'll pull through

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I'd like to have the facts and not just assume.

5 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 2

Then let's have an investigation? That's literally what OP's encouraging people ask for...

5 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

Never said they didn't. The comment I replied to however, is just assuming the worst without any facts.

5 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I said the same thing about the sorting equipment on a different post and got downvoted to hell. Smh

5 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 2

Your mean the equipment that has sat dormant for years and taking up valuable space for newer faster equipment?

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

And the newer faster equipment? Is that waiting outside to be installed?

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Ok here we go.The crossfire (new tech) at 100k per hour or the DBCSs (current) at 35k per hour? The USPS has lived in the Stone Age too long

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

So you're saying that in the midst of a massive financial crisis, a government office that is in threat of shut-down purcahsed 671 mail

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

You wanna talk about the vehicles next and how old those are at 8 mpg? And we have some catching on fire almost weekly now?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Those aren't 70-year-old GM LLVs like the ones that have caught fire. That looks like a Ram ProMaster, circa 2013 or later, typically 21 MPG

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1
